Sometimes we forget, when thinking about Christianity that though it is a commitment it is not an instantaneous solution to all of our problems. We are still human, trials will still occur in our life as they did before our commitment. There are times when even though we know God is with us, we feel powerless and alone. Remember there is nothing God cannot overcome. He is always in control, a truly sovereign being over all of time. Through bad and good, God is still in control.
Be still. When we feel as if our problems cannot be overcome, and that we have no backup we must work in a matter of faith and trust in God. Use restraint and be patient and still yet unyielding in your faith because God has never forsaken us, and He never will. If He has done it before He can do it again. Trust God enough to be still. God's command is for you to be still with first patience, and then be obedient to His word. Then, God will defend you and give you strength to overcome.
Scripture: Exodus 14:4-18
