Having God in the center of your life influences everything around you. Without Him we can only try to fill a void we often find and recognize in our life. It is natural to want to be happy and seek fulfillment, but we do not achieve a deep level of satisfaction without God. We as Christians are told not to invest in things that are not eternal. This is for fear that we will become a slave to whatever we prioritize over God. As Christians, we are given the right to choose who or what we devote our lives to. Look at your life, what is fulfilling our ultimate desire?
Is it eternal?
Does it waiver?
Can you trust it?
God provides us with fulfillment and satisfaction, through connection with Him. Instead of focusing on what we cannot live without, try instead to focus on who we need, God. Our priorities that are separate from God, can often overwhelm our lives. Our perspective on the world is small and limited compared to God's, it is a matter of faith to trust and believe that this void in your lives can be cured by surrounding ourselves in Jesus, and God who love us.
