Logan is a name

Is it their name? Not necessarily, but it is a name, and if it feels good to put a name to a face regardless of whether or not they particularly have one.

Logan is a creature which resides in a maze typically inaccessible to most humans, but when a person stumbles into their maze by accident, using a door that shouldn't have been there in his apartment, Logan for the first time in their life finds themself unwilling to "eat" the human. They instead let him go, marking him so no one else of their ilk can lay claim to him.

Is it really Logan's fault that the human's normal doors keep changing to the black oak doors which lead into his maze? Maybe, but the human needn't know they can control the doors like a fisherman casting a net.
