Logan is a scientist at heart, and a chance accident results in him becoming the victim of a cruel experiment. After he loses part of the left side of his body, he is subjected to an experiment to regrow his missing limbs, designed from a meat growth experiment he designed to grow food in lab conditions. The experiment is a moderate success, and Logan's arm and leg were regrown to just above the joint, except they couldn't regrow the joints and the pain of the experiment left him with severe trauma and phantom pains from his missing limbs. He drops science, absconds with his earnings and hides away in a small suburb with a dog. His early retirement is going well until people start to realise that he is the famous environmentalist scientist who was presumed to have died five years ago, and his past is brought up all over again.
