"Aether. I need you to take care of Xiao for me and Guizhong. We both are going to spend our anniversary in Sumeru visiting old friends."-Zhongli
"Ah, then happy anniversary! Of course I'll take care of Xiao. Course I don't think he'll like me very much, but it's worth a chance."-Aether
"I'm sure Xiao would like you very much. I'll be over by 8am tomorrow."-Zhongli
"Okay then Mr Zhongli! Have a good day then."- Aether
Aether hung up the phone and excitedly ran to his sister to tell her the news. She was dissatisfied with the news, but complied with them due to the fact they had a high chance they were getting paid for it. She needed new clothes anyways.
"Aether, we have to child proof the house then! I'm not going to be here all day tomorrow!"-Lumine
"Got it!"-Aether
He quickly draped the sofa, tables, and anything that could harm a child with plastic covers. Lumine just sat back and watched her brother do everything himself. She was rather lazy due to "work" so she lets Aether do everything. And the blond is oblivious enough to go along with the act. Because he actually cares.

As soon as Zhongli and Guizhong left Aether and Xiao alone, that's when Xiao started to roam through the house. He started getting used to the house, searching every room and yard to see if it was as his father told him.
"Please don't go in there! That's my sister's room! And she-."-Aether
"Your sister's room looks messier than when that guy came to my dad's room to look for something."-Xiao
The child wasn't wrong. Lumine's room had papers on the floor, boxes colored blue and white on the dressers near her bed, and the rest of her things were stuffed in her closet like she didn't have a care in the world for them. They were falling out and now on the floor.
"Let's go. My sister doesn't like people in her room."-Aether
"Mhm. My dad says that you like flowers. Do you really like flowers?"-Xiao
"Certain kinds. I like yellow and white flowers."-Aether
"Mhm."-Xiao
For an hour or two, Xiao was outside picking flowers. They were from Aether's backyard, but he didn't care. Aether was on the other side of the yard, keeping a close eye. The little raven looked really angry, he was aggressively pulling out the flowers.
"AETHER! WHAT THE —?"-Lumine

Instead of doing what he was told, Xiao followed the blond. He was arguing with the person who supposedly is his sister. She looks adopted.
"I swear! I didn't go in your room! Xiao got curious and explored the house and opened the door to the room. Nothing else!"-Aether
"Then where are my white shirts?! They were in one of my boxes on the middle shelf and now they are gone! So you are going to tell me where they are or pay for all of them again! And I just came back from work Aether!"-Lumine
"I know. I'm sorry Lumine."-Aether
"You are a meanie. You are being mean to my future husband!"-Xiao
"Future....huh? And Xiao, I told you to stay outside near the flowers."-Aether
"But I heard yelling. And I couldn't let my future husband be hurt!"-Xiao
"Xiao. I can't marry you. You are a kid. We can be best friends though."-Aether
"Okay then! Best friend is now Mister Aether! Boo to the yellow meanie!"-Xiao
Xiao stuck his tongue out at Lumine while she scoffed and marched to her room.
