About 2 months have come and gone and things have slowed down a little, everyone started moving on about Paige (not in a noncaring way, just so that we didn't have 20 people breaking down crying in one day). The time past slowly Luke and I were fine we hung out a couple times a week.

We were sitting in the truck in my driveway because Luke was picking me up. It was midmorning, the sun was nice and bright as I pulled the seat belt across my body. Luke hadn't said anything yet... it was odd, he always talks first. "Hey Babe." I said as I finally clicked my seat belt.

"Hey..." He dragged out. Oh no, I thought as I looked at him awkwardly.

"What's wrong?" I asked not knowing what to say. I didn't know if I actually wanted an answer to this question. Luke reached across the center console to my hand. He took it in his and looked me in the eye.

"Don't flip out...." he said, of course when someone says that you have the worst thoughts rush to your mind.

"Okay." I said not knowing what to do in this moment.

"My parents want you to come to our family Christmas party." I breathed out a breath I was holding in not knowingly. I slapped his shoulder.

"Why did you do that to me!?" I asked.

"Did what?" Why are boys so oblivious!? I don't understand men. Luke gave me a confused look.

"I thought you were going to leave me two weeks before Christmas." I said quietly as I turned towards my window.

"No! No! Why would I do that? I'm not that mean of a person!" Shock shot through his eyes.

"I don't know I just thought... I don't know." I said as I fiddled with my fingers.

"So you'll come?" His excitement seeped through.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I?" I asked as confusion flashed over my face.

"Well, my family is kind of crazy." He sighed.

"Its fine so is mine." I laughed. "Where we going today?"

"My house. Where did you want to go?" Luke looked over at me.

"I don't care but I'm hungry." I admitted.

"Mom ordered papa johns." My eyes lit up. "I know how much you love it." He smiled at me and took my hand. I squeezed it and looked towards the road.

Ding dong. The doorbell sang as I walked up the steps. I walked to the door and opened it for Luke. He was wearing a full out black suit with a red tie. I was wearing a red dress that had little Santa Claus fuzziest on the bottom. I had fancy little Christmas earrings in that were shaped as little Christmas trees. "Hey you look nice." I said as he slipped in the house.

"How about drop dead gorgeous!?" He teased as he struck a pose. I laughed.

"And how do I look? I could change if you wanted me to...is this too much?" I asked getting more nervous.

"For a rich people Christmas party the clothes is never too much, especially with my family." He said as he grabbed my hand. I nodded. I need to put some make up on. I said as I started to walk away. He pulled me back way too quick for me to react. I landed with my arms laying on his chest as he stood there. He looked into my eyes as we stood there, a little too close. "Why do you need to put make up on? You look beautiful right now." He said as he looked at my lips. I pecked his lips.

"Thank you but I need to look really nice for this." I said as that made my stomach bubble in nervousness. I had never met Luke's family, hell I haven't even met his dad. I barely met him mom a couple months ago. I began to swipe eyeshadow across my eyelid in one thin line just to pop out my eyes just a little more. Luke watched as I stretched out my eyelid with my pointer finger of my left hand as I put it on my right eyelid.
