Matt: "Hey, babe. Candace is here. You ready to go?" he calls out, entering the bedroom where Ryan stands, holding Mateo to her chest
Ryan: "Are you sure it's not too early? I mean I can't exactly just leave my own child alone."
Matt: "She won't be alone. Both Hermann and Cindy have assured that Candace is a great babysitter. Besides I thought you wanted to go back to work anyways?"
Ryan: "I did. I-I do" she nods, looking down at Mateo as a soft look comes over her face "And then his eyes drew me in. I mean have you seen these things?"
Matt: "Yes, I have" he chuckles, reaching over to pull Mateo into his arms "I've only been staring at them for the past 8 years."
Ryan: "Cute."
Matt: "I try." he shrugs, bouncing Mateo in his arms as he babbles a little, reaching out to grab hold of Matt's fingers
Ryan: "Okay" she breathes after a moment "I'm ready."
Matt: "Alright, let's go." he nods, following her out into the living room
Ryan: "Ok so I pumped earlier. It's in the blue container in the fridge. Should be enough for but he'll sometimes run through it quickly, if that happens we have some formula in the cabinet."
Candance: "Ok."
Ryan: "And if he won't go down for a nap then use the fluffy blue blanket. He likes it the most."
Candace: "You got it."
Matt: "And if you need anything both of our phones will be one."
Ryan: "Ok" she breathes and grabs her bag, going to open the door but stops herself "I can't."
Matt: "Yes you can." he assures
Ryan: "Just..." she moves back over to Mateo, pressing kisses to his cheeks "Mommy loves you. I love you" she assures, pressing one last kiss before standing straight, moving towards the door "Alright. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this." she repeats, walking out as Matt gives her an amused smile, pressing a kiss to Mateo's head, waving goodbye as he follows after her

All: "Surprise!" they cheer when the pair enter the common room, jumping in surprise when party poppers go off in their faces
Ryan: "Oh, my God. Wow."
Matt: "You guys didn't have to do this."
Hermann: "Of course we did."
Cruz: "Yeah we've been waiting a long time for this day."
Ryan: "Hmm."
Otis: "This one's for baby." he hums, holding out a basket
Capp: "And this one's for mommy and daddy." he holds out a basket filled with alcohol
Matt: "Thanks guys." he chuckles, looking through the baskets
Kelly: "How's it feel being back?"
Ryan: "Weird. I mean, we've been basically on lock down."
Hermann: "Ah, you'll get used to it. Just don't let the guilt get to you. Remember it takes a village. So use your village."
Ryan: "We will."
Boden: "Congratulations." he hums, moving over to pull the pair into a hug
Ryan: "Oh, Chief, you didn't...you didn't have to." she shakes her head, giving him a soft look as he holds his hand up, silencing her
Boden: "We celebrate the good moments. Always."
Matt: "Thanks, Chief."
Boden: "You're welcome" he smiles "Briefing in 5 minutes."
