Chapter 27: Hate me

Start from the beginning

The first thing he noticed were the glass shards scattered on the floor and the soft snore coming from the sofa. He skeptically made his way there and saw Jaehyun lying on the sofa with his hand hovering above the glass shards. Taeyong put two and two together as he sighed and grabbed a broom and dustpan to clean the mess up.

After cleaning everything up, he stood there for a minute not knowing what to do as half of him wanted to leave Jaehyun alone and go back to bed with Yuta but half of him wanted to wake Jaehyun up and get him into bed.

"Jaehyun" Taeyong shook him lightly.

"Jaehyun..."

There was no response as Taeyong shook him harder.

"Jaehyun-"

Jaehyun groaned as incoherent mumbles slipped through his lips.

"Jaehyun!"

After several calls, Jaehyun finally gained consciousness as he slowly opened his eyes and groggily blinked. He locked eye contact with Taeyong and his eyes widened as he quickly sat up and groaned at the sharp pain throbbing in his head.

"Are you fine?" Taeyong worriedly asked.

"I'm fine" Jaehyun lied. He wasn't fine. He felt like trash as the alcohol he consumed took a toll on him and his heart pained from the memories. He stared at Taeyong as Taeyong stared at him back, eyes wavering at each other's gaze.

"Did you drink all that whisky?" Taeyong asked with a hushed tone.

"Yea so?" Jaehyun ran his hand through his hair. "That's the only way that I can control my feelings"

Taeyong felt Jaehyun's pain in his reply as he softly placed his hands on Jaehyun's. Jaehyun tensed up at Taeyong's touch and he felt like rushing into his arms and hugging him tight. He felt like kissing him on the lips and reliving everything they did once again.

NO

Jaehyun's thoughts roared at him as he swiftly pulled his hand away from Taeyong's.

 He can't do this.

He can't ruin Taeyong's life.

He loved Taeyong more than he cared about his own feelings.

He didn't care about the pain. He didn't care if he had to let go of a person he loved again. He didn't care if he had to be left alone once again.
