Jaehyun carefully packed each box into the picnic basket as he sighed in relief.
There, he had done it.
He woke up at 5 in the morning to bake cupcakes, prepare a charcuterie board and a box of sandwiches for the picnic trip he had planned together with Taeyong today.
Actually it was what Jaehyun had singly planned, he hadn't told Taeyong yet.
It was around 6 when he decided to phone Taeyong and surprise him with the little trip he had planned.
Taeyong eventually picked up on the third time calling as his groggy voice popped up.
"Mhmm hello?"
"Taeyongie are you awake?"
"Yes I am since you called me" A slight hint of irritaion
Jaehyun silently chuckled at Taeyong's tone "Well I hope you are because I planned a picnic trip today. "
"Wait what?" Rustling sounds were heard as Taeyong's voice became more awake. "Like now?"
"Yep. I already packed and prepared the picnic"
"Mhmm ok ok"
"Sure. See ya then" Jaehyun smiled as he hung up.
He swiftly made his way to Taeyong's place and before Taeyong knew it, there was a knock on Taeyong's front door.
"Just a minute" Taeyong shouted while he quickly finished his showering and covered himself in a bathrobe.
He opened the door to see a well dressed Jaehyun standing with a slight smile on his face. Well it was nothing surprising because Jaehyun was always well dressed but today was different. He was wearing just a simple brown pants with white button up and his hair parted at the side but he still managed to look like a vintage Hollywood star. Taeyong didn't even know that he was staring until Jaehyun called out his name.
"Taeyong?" Jaehyun asked with a confused tone. "Can I come in? Or do you want me to wait in the car? I'm fine with both ways"
"No no come in come in" Taeyong ushered Jaehyun into the living room.
"I only need to wear something so it will only take a while" Taeyong excused himself as he rushed upstairs. He quickly flipped through his closet as he tried to find an outfit that compliments Jaehyun's. After a few minutes of searching, he decided to settle on a white button up but with black pants. Parting his hair by the sides, he sprayed a generous amount of freesia and headed downstairs.
"Let's go" Taeyong smiled as he grabbed a straw hat and put it on. Jaehyun chuckled at Taeyong's cute demeanor and nodded.
