"So umm Taeyong?" Jaehyun nervously asked as he swerved around the corner. A familiar building loomed near the end of the street as he nervously tapped on the steering wheel.
"Mhmm?" Taeyong hummed, turning his attention towards Jaehyun.
"Well ahhh I just want to set some ground rules to prevent any you know-" Jaehyun shrugged as he gestured vague expressions with his hand.
" Oh "Taeyong nodded and smiled. "I understand"
"I mean I'm not a strict person" Jaehyun tried to clarify himself, laughing awkwardly "I just you know want to be sure that we.... you know. I'm actually a cool person like I'm a cool dad. I let Yuta stay up late and play games."
Taeyong giggled at Jaehyun's nervous explanation and held Jaehyun's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"I know I know. I understand Jaehyun"
Jaehyun nodded and took a deep breath. "I just don't want our secret to be out"
For some reasons, the way Jaehyun said it made Taeyong's smile slightly waver.
A secret
Jaehyun and him were just a secret. Something that had to be hidden away from others in fear of shame and mortification. Even though it was the harsh truth, he still winced at the reminder that he was cheating on Yuta with Jaehyun, his own boyfriend's dad.
"Ok"
Taeyong sat in silence as Jaehyun parked the car infront of the building and smoothed himself out by looking at the rear view mirror. He took an affirming breath and turned towards Taeyong.
"I just want to set some basic preventions like no close affections, no nicknames, no prolonged eye contacts. Nothing that would make us seem suspicious" Jaehyun slowly listed them out while Taeyong listened and nodded.
"Got it"
Jaehyun smiled and leaned in to peck Taeyong's lips. " Thank you for understanding me Taeyong. I really appreciate it"
"Of course of course" Taeyong mumbled and smiled back.
"Then let's go. You take the cheesecake and I'll carry the other two"
