Have you ever been so in love that everything seems unreal and dreamlike?
It just feels like the closest you could have heaven on earth?
Well Taeyong was experiencing that right then as he cuddled up in Jaehyun embrace, nuzzling against his chest. The projected light glowed luminously as characters bustled around on the giant white screen. The soft glow of the projector shimmered as it casted fuzzy shadows in the car. Taeyong could still hear faint sound of the waves as the smell of the beach was slowly replaced by a familiar pinewood scent.
After a strenuous day of work, Jaehyun called Taeyong to hop in for a movie but just when Taeyong thought that he was heading towards the cinema, Jaehyun kept on driving until they reached to the beach side.
"I thought we're watching a movie?" Taeyong asked as he looked around confused. The sound of waves crashing filled the air as the smell of the briny sea made Taeyong smile. He loved the beach, it was one of his favorite places to be at.
"We are" Jaehyun smiled. "It's a drive-in cinema near the beach. A friend recommended it to me"
"I'm not falling for that again" Taeyong laughed. " So since you've been here and brought me here again, I'm sure it's gonna be great"
"Oh it is" Jaehyun nodded and checked his watch. "The movie starts in half an hour but I just wanted some time with you at the beach"
Taeyong stepped foot on the soft sand and gazed at the evening sunset. The sun was just beginning to descend as it casted bright but mellow lights all over the beach. The hue of purple reflected across the shimmering sea as waves crashed over the beige sand.
Jaehyun held Taeyong's hand and started walking as Taeyong strolled along with him. The warm sun heated up Taeyong's cheek while the cool water washed over his bare feet. A pair of footprints followed from behind as the waves would occasionally sweep all the traces away. Taeyong glanced at Jaehyun to see him looking around the beach with a dreamy look on his face. He noticed Taeyong starting at him from the corner of his eye and turned towards him.
"Mhm?" Jaehyun asked as he tiled his head.
"Nothing" Taeyong smiled, gazing at the sun. It had almost disappeared as it gave out its last light and the sky slowly started to darken. "I'm just happy"
Jaehyun led Taeyong to the snack booth as he bought popcorns, sweets and drinks while Taeyong turned the AC in the car and adjusted the seats for a comfortable position.
"What movie are we watching? " Taeyong hummed as Jaehyun entered the car with bags of snacks.
Jaehyun smiled and let out an awkward chuckle. " I don't know if it's too cheesy but today is throwback Thursday so they're showing Romeo and Juliet. It's the Clair Danes version with Leonardo DiCaprio."
"Jaehyun.." Taeyong couldn't help but laugh as Jaehyun shyly smiled and shrugged. " Isn't this a little too..."
Taeyong tried to think of the right word to say but couldn't as he pouted in slight frustration.
"Too what?" Jaehyun wiggled his eyebrow.
"Too.... perfect?" Taeyong giggled. "It's just that the whole day has been going so well and... it just feels too good to be true"
"Well I dropped the popcorn when I first bought it and I had to buy it again." Jaehyun assured. "Does it still sound too perfect?"
Taeyong shook his head with a tiny smile. "I'm just thinking too much"
"You are Bbangie. Now come here, I want to cuddle with you while I watch the movie" Jaehyun said as patted the space beside him.
And that was how Taeyong ended up cuddling in Jaehyun's embrace while he nuzzled against his chest.
It just seemed unreal and dreamlike.
Like he was floating on the fluffy white clouds with Jaehyun as warm golden lights shone upon them.
No stress, no mess and no worries.
It all felt too good to be true.
