Taeyong stayed up late as he finished off episodes after episodes all by himself while Yuta peacefully slept beside him. The aircon blew waves of freezing air as Taeyong huddled under a cozy blanket.
He was planning to binge watch the whole night or atleast until he felt like stopping but when it came to around 2 in the morning, the T.V started to flicker sporadically while the characters froze on the frame. He looked around as he tried to see what caused it and a second later, all lights went off as the whole room became pitch black.
Taeyong scrambled for his phone and opened the flashlight only to realize that there was a power outage. He didn't think too much of it as he turned the T.V off and quietly snuggled into bed with Yuta. But as time passed by, the air in the room started to warm up from the lack of air con so he kicked off all his pajamas and put on one of Yuta's big shirts and a brief. He laid there for a while tossing and turning until he felt like he needed to use the bathroom so he tiptoed his down the stairs.
The whole house was pretty dark and quiet too as Taeyong navigated his way by using his phone's flashlight. He opened the bathroom door and he quickly did his business as he scuttled his way back through the kitchen.
Taeyong sneaked up the stairs and stopped when he unexpectedly saw faint moonlight reflecting on the floor. Figuring that the balcony door was open, he peeked into it and saw Jaehyun leaning on the railing and staring up at the moon.
Taeyong considered the thought of talking to Jaehyun but a part of him wanted to forget whatever feelings he had blossomed towards him and continue his blissfully oblivious relationship with Yuta.
But another part of him urged him to fulfill his desire. It was like the feeling of smoking. Taeyong knew that it was bad, it was addictive and it was nothing but trouble. But at the same time, he can't stop it, he crave for it and everytime he inhaled it, it made him shiver with ecstasy.
He hesitantly took a deep breath as he stepped onto the balcony tiles and slowly walked to stand beside Jaehyun while the wind softly swayed the rustling trees.
"The breeze is pretty cool isn't it?" Taeyong asked as he tapped the railing.
"It is..."
"So you enjoy gazing at the moon?"
Jaehyun nodded and smiled. The moon reflected luminous rays as it casted a pale milky light upon him.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?"
" I just have some thoughts on my mind" Taeyong sighed. "Why aren't you asleep yet?"
A strong gust of wind rushed through the trees, creating whispery sounds as Jaehyun closed his eyes.
"You could say the same"
Jaehyun turned towards Taeyong as he saw what was infront of him. His initial smile slowly faded away, replaced with an ambiguous look. Taeyong never realized how close he stood next to Jaehyun until Jaehyun turned towards him. He could see Jaehyun's half lidded eyes gazing at him up and down until their eyes met. Taeyong unconsciously stretched his hand on the railing as it brushed against Jaehyun's and created goosebumps on his arms.
