(Chapter 113)
An Alpha's request

~*~
Author POV

Jimin had missed the scent of home. But now wrapped in the blankets of his nest, he had recently fixed the one on the floor in the living room.

He hadn't missed the way his Alphas relaxed, tension melting out of their muscles and wings as they collapsed into the nest.

Nests were a safe space. They were a place Omegas nurtured children, so they needed to be soft and offer comfort. This comfort could also be applied to anyone who enters the nest.

Science found that it helped aid in reducing stress and improved mental health. It was difficult to know how much you needed the comfort when it was lost. But the relief to have it again is the best feeling.

Jimin knew that feeling, when he first moved to the dorm and was unable unable craft a nest for months, it didn't bare well for him mentally or physically. He had desperately wanted to run home and curl up in his Dad's nest, to feel a semblance to normality.

But now he was able to build a nest in the main room of their apartment and not have to hide it. The nest was good, it had all the scents that had faded away when he was in the camps, it was strong and comforting.

With the Alphas becoming more comfortable with touching wings, though it did still bring out the occasional growl or aggressive flinch away. Jimin found they were all to happy to pile on top of each other, wings batting against each other in the struggle to find a comfortable position to sleep in.

Yoongi and Namjoon had been resistant to joining into the cuddle piles, preferring to sleep at the outsides of the nest, where they still had physical contact with the others, but their wings could spread out of the nest away from the other Alphas.

That's how they currently were, the nest remained the same size as it had been when they all slept apart from each other, so now that they were more tightly packed together it seemed that much bigger.

"Jiminie" a voice called to him, it was Namjoon, he was shuffling awkwardly outside the nest. He jerked his head to the side, to indicate he wanted Jimin to follow him into his at Hoseok's shared room.

Jimin pulled himself out of the cuddle pile carefully, trying not to awaken anyone, it was kind of difficult as the other Alphas reached out to latch onto him subconsciously.

He padded across the floor, wings trailing behind him, drooped low as he wasn't awake enough to hold them up properly.

Namjoon ushered him inside, Jimin followed him, his mind couldn't think of a reason why Namjoon was acting so shy and shifty. But he allowed him to shut the door behind them, Hoseok was asleep in the nest so it was only the pair in the room.
