"Hey," the voice said as y/n smiled brightly. Her heart fluttered at the sight of the girl,

"Hey to you too! I thought I was supposed to see you later tonight?" Y/n asked Lily as she got a little closer to her. The three who were looking at the pair knowingly silently walked away the leave to two girls alone. Lily shrugged her shoulders,

"Well I was able to get a ticket at the door and one thing led to another. I watched both your dances and I'm extremely impressed. I just wanted to congratulate you because you did amazing out there." Y/n felt her face heat up a little at the sincere compliment Lily had given her. Lily laughed seeing y/n flustered and brought her in for a hug. Her arms went around y/n's neck and y/n's arms snaked around Lily's waist easily.

"I'm happy for the little surprise then, it means a lot to me when people I care about show up to these types of things." Y/n said to the girl, a part of her mind thinking of a certain black haired girl that didn't show up.

"I hope to show up to more things you do, even though they won't be dance competitions." Lily whispered to y/n as she nuzzled her face into the crook of y/n's neck. Y/n could feel Lily breathing lightly on her skin and it sent a wave of goosebumps over her skin.

"I expect you to also be at those occasions. And I think it goes without saying that I'll show up to these types of things for you." Y/n whispered back to the girl in her arms. Lily pulled back from the embrace and looking into y/n's eyes, a smile tugging at her lips,

"I can't wait to see you at my next science competition then." Y/n grinned at the thought of seeing Lily in the white lab coat presenting her project to a panel of judges. She always seemed like the type of person to absolutely nail those things and then end up having a very successful career in a field of either biology or chemistry.

"And I can't wait to be there not understanding a thing you're saying." Lily laughed at that because she knew that would be true. Half the stuff they learn in class y/n doesn't understand, so university level things will just go in one ear and out the other. But Lily found that endearing about y/n for some reason.

The two lovebirds continued talking as Destiny and Cupid watched with their jaws dropped from up above. Cupid tossed his tub of popcorn to the side and Destiny kept eating her Skittles,

"I can't believe that girl just shows up out of nowhere! Who gave her their damn ticket?" Cupid asked, annoyed because this was supposed to be Roseanne talking to y/n right now, not Lily. Destiny glanced over to Cupid,

"It was Tom Perry, the one you gave a soulmate that is also a non-believer." Destiny said with venom dripping from her lips as Cupid winced at remembering those years ago getting a thorough mouthful from Destiny. He still feels horrible about that one, but in his defense, he was eating a hot pocket that was way too hot. So he wasn't fully paying attention.

"Well I was eating a hot pocket that was too hot." He mumbled as Destiny almost lost it,

"I DON'T CARE! YOU WERE IRRESPONSIBLE!" Cupid couldn't do anything except take what Destiny was saying because it was true, he was irresponsible, "that was probably his way of getting back at you, too."

"I wouldn't put it past him."

The two then continued to watch as y/n and Lily wrapped up their conversation with one another. They said their goodbyes and y/n snuck in a kiss on Lily's cheek before going off to find her family and head out to dinner with them. Cupid scanned the area to see if he saw Roseanne anywhere, but he couldn't find the girl. There was a possibility that the girl had left after most likely seeing Lily and y/n together. He then pointed to the mass of people and turned to Destiny for answers,
