Chapter 18: Compliments

Taeyong carefully held the box with both hands as Jaehyun nodded at the security guard and exchanged greetings. As they waited for the elevator to descend, Taeyong could feel beads of sweat forming on his back. He didn't know if it was the stress of meeting Jaehyun's employees or the warm weather or the ridiculous tie and suit that Jaehyun gave him to wear. 

Yes a tie and suit. Jaehyun wanted Taeyong to dress formally as his workplace had a dress code and besides, Jaehyun wanted to see Taeyong in a suit because he had a feeling that Taeyong would look adorable in it.

And truth be told, Jaehyun thought that he did look cute in it.

The elevator dinged and opened as Jaehyun stepped in followed by Taeyong. Jaehyun glanced at Taeyong to check up on him and chuckled. 

"Why the worry face? Everything is going to be fine"

"It's nothing" Taeyong mumbled "I just feel like the suit looks ridiculous on me"

"You look great in that suit Taeyong. I promise you that you look fabulous"

Jaehyun reassured, holding the cake box firmly as he leaned in and kissed Taeyong on the cheek. 

"What are you doing?!" Taeyong dodged as he looked around and froze when he saw the surveillance camera.

"Don't worry" Jaehyun chuckled at Taeyong's frantic expression. "The monitor is in my office and only I have access to it"

He nuzzled against Taeyong's cheek. "One last time" Jaehyun mumbled as he softly pecked Taeyong's lips. 

The elevator came to a stop as Jaehyun regained his composure and gave Taeyong a tight smile. 

"Remember what I said" Jaehyun murmured and ushered Taeyong to step out. Taeyong nodded as he smiled back and stepped out along with him. 

The first thing Taeyong noticed was how neat and clean the room looked. Everything seemed like they were in place and organized as in everything was where it should be. He could make out the tapping of the keyboard as a few heads poked up from the cubicle and peeked at them.

"Oh hey morning Jaehyun" A man with red hair waved as he stood up and walked towards them.

"Morning Taeil. How are you?" 

"Great great. Just this morning, Jungwoo managed to bag a potential customer and Mark confirmed a deal with a client already"

"That's good to hear" Jaehyun smiled as he nodded approvingly. He placed the cake boxes onto the table and clapped his hands to catch everyone's attention.

" May I have everyone's attention?" He looked around to check if everybody was listening and continued when they were.  "I brought cakes!"
