Once upon a time,
Cold and wet
A shivering dog begged,
For a warm place was all he asked for,
But no one had a heart for the suffering thing.

Bent his head helplessly,
But immediately sprinted in joy,
Following the sound he had just heard,

The sound of H O P E...

Once upon a time,
A grateful and happy dog stood,
Protecting the strangers and their home.

As the once suffering who swear never
to forget the holy deed,
These strangers did.
