"Yes please" Jaehyun set down a plate infront of Taeyong and headed towards the fridge.
"Orange juice or milk?"
"Orange juice"
"Ahh I see. You prefer orange juice?"
Taeyong nodded "Yea"
"I prefer milk"
Jaehyun poured a cup of orange juice for Taeyong as he set a bowl of cereal down and poured a cup of milk for himself. Not wanting to make it awkward, Taeyong hastily replied.
"Yuta prefers milk too. We once only had a bottle of orange juice and milk left in my fridge and he chose the milk while I chose the orange juice. Worked out pretty well"
"Ahh I see like father like son I guess" Jaehyun chuckled.
Taeyong didn't know why but he mentally cringed at what Jaehyun replied. It was like a nudge that Jaehyun was still his boyfriend's father even though Taeyong saw him in a different light. Like a subtle precautionary reminder for what he might get himself into.
"So do you always go on a morning run" Taeyong asked as he sipped on the tangy orange juice.
"Oh you saw me?" Jaehyun raised his eyebrow.
"Well I was just enjoying the morning sun and saw you from the balcony"
"I run every morning during the weekends and sometimes during the evening if weekdays. I mean, I didn't get this body from nothing. It all comes from hard work and dedication" Jaehyun stretched his arms.
Hard work it is as Taeyong stared at Jaehyun's toned biceps and triceps. The bathrobe he was wearing also revealed the split down his chest which was shiny from the light sheen of water remnants. The bathrobe itself didn't cover the whole bottom as it stopped near the knee and whenever Jaehyun stretched his legs apart, Taeyong could see his veiny thighs.
He snapped out of his trance as he looked up to see an unexplainable looked on Jaehyun's face. It was a cross between a smirk and an dubious look. Taeyong looked away as he continued nibbling on his pancakes, praying for Jaehyun to not have noticed his stare.
"Will you be sleeping over tonight too?"
" I'm not totally sure yet but umm-" Taeyong thought for while.
"Well why don't you stay for another night? I'm cooking dinner too"
Taeyong's eyes lit up in surprise and amusement . Jaehyun seemed to be a man of many skills and talents. He knew that Jaehyun runs a successful company and worked out every weekends. He had also seen him painting and tending the gardening before too so hearing that Jaehyun cooks surprised him.
"Then I'm looking forward to it" Taeyong genuinely smiled as he finished off his pancakes. He heard Yuta's bedroom door open as he came downstairs.
"Oh, you guys are already awake" Yuta yawned as he sat down. "You're making pancakes dad?" Yuta asked, surprised. " I thought you didn't like them?"
"Well just wanted to do something for our special guest" Jaehyun rubbed Yuta's hair as he cheekily smiled at Taeyong.
Taeyong felt all sort of butterflies flying in him as his cheeks warmed up. He tried to cool himself down by drinking the remaining orange juice and wiped his mouth.
He shouldn't be acting like this to a smile from his boyfriend's father.
He shook the thought off as he walked towards Yuta and gave him a morning kiss on the cheek.
"You alarm bell rang this morning. You didn't wake up like usual and I had to close it" Taeyong playfully complained.
"Hehe sorry" Yuta cheekily chuckled.
Jaehyun laughed at the interaction and smiled.
"You guy are cute together"
Taeyong slightly laughed back as he headed towards the sink to wash the plates. Jaehyun's previous laughter echoed in his mind and the words he said lingered in his ears. He didn't know why Jaehyun was having so much effect on him. Every action he did and every word he said created butterflies that wouldn't disappear no matter how many times Taeyong tried to smother them.
Why do you make me feel this way?
