Devi was in her room, thinking about her previous day's confrontation with Shaan.

His words rang in her ears still.

"Lekin ab jab mujhe ek mauka dikh rha hai... Toh ab main chup – chaap baithe nhi rehne vaala...", he said determinately.

"Main ab aapke baaton mein nhi ane vaala..."

"Yeh Shaan kya kehkar gaya tha mujhe ?..."

"Vo chup – chaap nhi baitha rahega ?..."

"Iska matlab... Iska matlab toh yeh hua ki maine jo bhi kiya ab tak... vo sab kisi kaam ka nhi..."

"Maine use rokne ke liye ab tak jo bhi kiya... vo toh sab waste ho gaya..."

"Nhi nhi..."

"Mujhe Shaurya se jald hi baat karni hogi..."

"Pta nhi Shaan kab firse us ladki se milne chala jaaye... Usse pehle main Shuarya ko inform kar deti hoon..."

"Haan...", she said as she stood up and walked away, to fill her son's mind with animosity for his father once more.

She entered Shaurya's room and found him engrossed in his files.

"Shaurya...", she knocked up.

"Badi Maa...", he said, looking up.

"Aaiye na...", he said as he approached her.

"Aapko kitni baar kaha hai Badi Maa... Aap bina knock kare hi aa jaaya kariye..."

"Aise kaise Shaurya ?..."

"Kuch dino baad jab ek aur insaan is room ka hissa ban jaayega... Tab main aise thodina bina knock kiye aa sakti hoon...", she said smiling.

Shaurya passed a confused look.

"Ek aur insaan ?..."

"Main samjha nhi Badi Maa..."

Devi chuckled seeing his reaction, and placing her hand over his face, she said, "Tumhaari wife ki baat kar rhi hoon main Shaurya..."

He processed the words and averted his gaze as soon as realization dawned upon him.

"Badi Maa...", he sounded low.

"Kya hua Shaurya..."

"Badi Maa..."

"Maine aapko pehle bhi toh kaha haina...", his voice was monotonous.

"Haan..."

"Btaaya tha tumne... Ki tumhe shaadi mein koi interest nhi hai..."
