I rushed behind him and clutched his hand with all my might, "bhai, please let it slide."

"What did you say to her?" He stood in front of Damini. His sight blazing and unwavering from her. "Were you alone, or your kids too were included in this?"

"Don't drag my kids in this, Agastya." Damini stepped back, and protectively snaked an arm around her daughter, with her other hand he tightly clutched in to his son's hand. Is this what a motherly instinct is?

"No, Mrs Singhania. I won't stoop low as you, I can, but I won't. It doesn't suits my personality. I don't target kids, unlike you." Bhai, tenderly pulled me beside him, without even sparing me a glance. "Look at her, crying for something you and your kids said or did."

"We didn't do anything, Agastya." Damini's voice shook as she took his name. "Why would we do anything, when we don't care about her." She shrugged, looking at me.

"Lies. Again lies." Bhai roared making all of us finch under his towering height.

The minute full of awful quietness seemed like the silence before the storm.

Our stepmother looked at me and jiggled her head in a reproving manner, "what have you done to Agastya, he believing you blindly. Tell him your misdeeds." She alleged me.

What? My misdeeds, what did I do? "Bhai, I didn't do anything. I swear." I clasped myself in to his arms, my eyes pleading, he turned at me and his burning onyx orbs went clam for a split second, before getting back to their initial selves.

He gently removed his arm from me, and walked to the sitting area, reaching to a side table which had nothing just, an orange and blue floral printed vase, picking it up, he threw it harshly on the floor, breaking it into a million pieces. "Stop with your fucking lies." He yelled once again, all our family was now present here, with shocks apparent on their faces.

"We aren't lying." Damini whispered looking at dad, who shook his head in disapproval.

"Tell me the truth, Damini." Grasps echoed the hall, the moment bhai took her name, the shocked faces of our family converted in to a horrified expression.

"Don't talk to our mother like that." After a moment of suffocating silence, Ishaan decided to break it, he shouldn't. "Please." The daggers thrown by bhai from his hardened eyes which were flaming.

"Back off Ishaan." Dad intertwined, and bobbled in disallowance.

"Care to say that again, Ishaan?" Bhai intimidatingly stood in front of him, towering his five-seven fame- who in return slouched his shoulder and looked at the marbled ground to escape the laser shots from his elder stepbrother.

"What's the matter, Agastya?" Dad asked, keeping a hand on bhai's shoulder, patting it slightly.

"I don't know, none of them are speaking up the truth." Bhai motioned his hand between Damini and I, giving me a disgruntled look.
