It was a bright Sunday afternoon in Atlas, right now I was helping my uncles and cousin with their cafe for the last time since ill be heading to Beacon tomorrow. Just as I cleaning off a table, one of my regulars showed up, Weiss schnee.

Me:"well hello miss Schnee, I can only asume the usual"

Weiss:"mm, not today y/n, im kinda nervous about Beacon, got anything to help"

Me:"I know just the thing, take your seat and ill bring it right out"

She smiles and nods before heading to her usual spot as I head to the kitchen. Usually when she came over I'd make her food and drinks, even though I was only ment to take peoples orders. However, Weiss refused to be served by anyone else, so it was left to me. Me and Weiss were actually friends for a long time, we grew up together, my dad is a business partners with her dad since before I was born.

Me:*placing a piece of cheese cake with blueberry drizzle and chamomile tea in front of her*"here you go, I eat this every time I'm nervous and it never fails, enjoy princess"

She laughs at my nickname for her and I pet her head before going back to work. You see me and Weiss were close, like really close. We literally grew up together, we spent so much time together a lot of people confused us to be dating. I denied it everytime but still, there's always been a part of me that wished we were a thing. As I finished taking another costermers order I hear Weiss call for me so I go to her to see her plate finished as well as her tea.

Me:"well I see you enjoyed it, anything else for ya"

Weiss:"hm, well, im still kind of nervous, think you have time after work to hang out"

Me:"for you Weiss, anything, lets meet up in the park k?"

Weiss:*smiles*"can't wait"

She pays and leaves, she left a crazy tip as usual as well. She always did that, she knew my family wasn't as well of as hers and always gave me a crazy about of money for my tip since she knew that was the only way I'd accept it. I watch with a greatful smile as she leaves, however my thoughts get broken as my cousin wraps his arm around me.

Calen:"well, got another thousand huh, jeez man, when are you gonna ask her out already, she obviously likes you to dude"

Me:"give me a break cal, we can't be together, even if i really want to, shes a schnee, and im a l/n, what else do ya want from me man"

Calen:"I think I made it pretty clear I want you to ask her out man, just do it cos, she's totally into you. She only eats your food, she only smiles or laughs to your jokes, and I dont think you know this, but she only lets you call her princess, everyone else who tries gets frozen."

Me:"shes called the ice queen, what more did you expect, and I can call her that because we've been friends since we were kids, of course shes soft on me"

Calen:"there you go again, given more excuses to why you think she just thinks of you as a friend. Listen, take it from a man who has a good significant other, she likes you"

Me:"wasn't heath the one to ask you out because you were too scared he might reject you since you couldn't see his obvious feelings towards you?"

Calen:"...ok listen, everyone in this family is dense as hell, but for once, just take my advice on this. Here, how bout ask her out tonight, if she rejects you, me and you go Grimm hunting, if she doesn't, me and you celebrate, deal?"

Me:"...*sigh* fine, deal, just don't be to hard on me when I come back crying"

Calen:"heh, no promises"
