Sophie was sitting on the couch finishing to read a book "The unabridged journal of Sylvia Plath", Phil was watching the basketball game on television and Claire was arranging the house
"Honey,I thought you were gonna take out the garbage" Claire said
"I am" Phil said but then tourned back to watching the game
"Phil!"
"Yes getting it"Phil said again tourning back another tourning back to the game another time
"Sophie, honey, take out the garbage please" Claire asked her daughter
"Sure" Sophie said smiling at the situation and going to open the door to take the garbage out
"I was-I was going to do it"
"Sure Dad, sure" Sophie told him
"Oh-hi Dylan?" Sophie said as she opened the door and found Dylan in front of her
"Hi, Sophie"
"I'm just waiting for Haley"
"Uh, did you ring the bell?"
"I texted her.She said she'd be down in just a minute"
"Oh well tell her I say Hi, Sophie the garbage" Claire said apparing from behind
"I'm going"
Sophie entered in the house
"Haley says hi" Dylan said to Claire as he putted down the phone again
"I-I was just being facetious" Claire said
"Sit it.Park it. Come on,I don't bite"Phil said to Dylan and then growled
"Kidding. I'm kidding" Phil chuckled as Dylan sat next to him
"Um,Dylan how are you and Haley doing?" Phil asked and after that Sophie stopped listening to their conversation until Dylan spoke again
"I think I'm gonna wait in the car"
"Okay" Phil said and then Sophie picked up her book and went to her room that was the only bedroom downstairs
Later
Grace was in the kitchen with Claire, Manny and Gloria that just arrived, when Alex came in
"Okay,what about this?" she asked
"You didn't even say hello to Gloria and Manny?" Claire said
"Hi Gloria,hi Manny. Okay,Mom what about this?"
"It's horrible" Sophie said
"Thanks, mom"
"Anytime" Sophie said smircking
"No,you're wearing a dress" Claire said
"Mom com on!"
"What?Is gonna kill you to look like a girl for one afternoon?"
"But it's a wedding for some friend of yours that I never heard of"
"It's not negotiable,you can borrow a dress of Sophie or Haley's again"
"No,that's sends an ugly message that I'm Haley or Sophie"
"Shut up, Alex" Sophie said not even looking up from her book
"Why do you have to force me to wear a dress?"
"Yeah,instead why don't you worry about getting Luke to wear pants?" Sophie spoke again looking at her brother playing outside
"What? Why does he do this. Luke pants,come on!" Claire yelled
"Alex,why don't you come shopping with me? Maybe I can help you to find something that you like"Gloria spoke for the first time
"That's a really nice offert,but it's not really her thing"Claire said
"Actually,I'd love to go, see you don't know what my thing is,you have no idea what my thing is"
"I know what your thing is. Your things is to provoke, just like your sister Haley is to never come out of her room, your sister Sophie to always read and your brother thing-oh well there's your brother thing"Claire said
"Luke put them on!Mm-hmm"
"Bye" Gloria and Alex said closing the door behind them
"Bye" Claire, Sophie and Manny said and then Sophie started focusing on her book again
"Hey,how did it go?" Claire asked Alex and Gloria after speaking for an hour about her and Alex's problem with Manny
"It was great, did you had fun with Luke?" Gloria asked Manny
"Well not-"
"We had a great time" Claire spoke for him
"Alex,I've been thinking,if you don't want to wear a dress to the wedding it's not the end of the world" she spoke again
"It's alright,I bought one"
"Did you see?" Claire asked Manny
"We will talk about it the next time" hee answered
"Oh,I want to see the dress" Sophie finally spoke fore the first time
"Let's go" Alex said as they went to Sophie's room
"It's beautiful,I love it" Sophie said as Alex showed her the dress
"Thank you"
"Gloria choose it right?" Sophie asked already knowing the answer
"Shut up" Alex said rolling her eyes
