27: "its going on my private, dont worry"

(seraphina's pov)

the last couple of days have been exhausting because of school but today is friday. next week is the last week of school before thanksgiving break.

today, leela, phoebe, and i are going to hangout after school while the boys hangout with max at our apartment.

right now though, im at lunch with the boys. leela had to tutor someone and phoebe is at the library getting a book.

"hows it going going with leela?" i ask keaton seriously.

"we've gone on a couple dates and i'm taking her out tomorrow. i'm gonna ask her to be girlfriend," he grins like an idiot.

"that's amazing, keaton!" i exclaim with a smile. i'm happy him and leela are dating. we just need leo and phoebe before we can go on triple dates. i turn to leo and ezra starts snickering, knowing what i'm thinking "and phoebe?" i ask.

"i'm taking her out on sunday, it's our first date," he states proudly and i start grinning like an idiot, just like keaton a second ago.

keaton and leo look at me weird and leo hesitantly asks, "why do you look like that?"

"TRIPLE DATES!" i exclaim and ezra chuckles.

they shake their heads but i don't miss the big smile on their faces.

"your mom is coming for dinner, right?" i ask ezra.

he nods and says, "she might be a little late because she has a meeting but she'll be there."

i nod and think about what to do for dinner. phoebe and leela are joining us for our friday family dinner tonight so i wanted to do something fun for all of us.

leo and keaton get into an argument about who can make the best sandwich and ezra and i listen, amused.

"your staying over tonight, right?" i ask ezra and abruptly, the arguing ceases.

the two children turn to me with frowns and exclaim at the same time, "why can't we sleepover?"

ezra snickers and i lightly smack his shoulder. i raise a brow and say, "you can."

they nod in approval and keaton says, "we'll be there," as if they weren't already eating dinner at my house tonight.

i roll my eyes playfully but still smile and turn to ezra, "yes, i'm staying over." he smiles.

i nod happily with a soft smile. "good, i don't like sleeping without my personal heater."

he chuckles and pulls me into his side while kissing my temple.

leela, phoebe and i are driving to my apartment after we spent a solid three hours at the diner and multiple books stores, something we have in common.

we're laughing about a terrible joke phoebe made before 'how much cash' by noah davis plays from my spotify playlist.

i glance at leela, who's in the front seat, and phoebe, who's in the middle back seat and they seem to be thinking the same thing as me so i turn up the song.

i see leela pull out her phone and a beaming smile sets on our faces as we start singing.

we all sing together and leela is filming the whole thing. we all have big ass smiles on our face as laughter bubbles up in our throats.

we all shout as loud as possible and the laughter finally escapes.

we finish the song and leela asks, "is it alright if i post this on snap?" phoebe and i nod and laugh as she says, "it's going on my private, don't worry."

we drive the rest away, talking about our tbr's with my rainy day playlist playing in the background.

we pull into the apartment complex a couple minutes later and walk into the apartment laughing and smiling.

we see all the guys sitting on the couch with amused expressions and max is sitting on ezras lap.

"hey!" we all shout, laughing and the guys look at us with knowing smiles.

max runs up to me and hugs me before going back to ezras lap so he can finish his power rangers episode on our shared tablet.

they guys give us these weird ass smiles so i ask, "why do you guys look like that?"

keaton pulls out his phone and suddenly, the video of us singing is playing through his speakers.

phoebe and i turn to leela who looks sheepish and she says, "i thought i pressed the private button."

we laugh and sing along to the video as the guys film us once again and laugh with us.

when we calm down i sit down next to ezra and get max's attention. "love bug!"

he looks at me with an adorable smile and i attack his face with kisses. his giggles fill the room as everyone fawns over him.

when he catches his breath from laughing, he looks at our guests and his cheeks tint red.

he pulls ezra and i in and everyone seems to lean in to hear what he says, "they're really pretty," max whispers, referring to leela and phoebe.

we laugh and coo over max and i introduce them. "leela, phoebe, this is my little brother max. love bug, these are my two friends, leela and phoebe. you met pheoeb when we were tricking or treating."

he nods shyly with his cheeks still tinted and i chuckle as i set him on my lap and hold him close to me.

"mom is on her way so she should she be here in like 5 minutes," ezra says and i nod before placing a kiss on his cheek.

leela and phoebe have each taken a place next their soon to be boyfriends and we all talk, waiting for valentina.

"when are you going to see your dad again?" i ask ezra, quietly.

"thanksgiving will probably be the next time," he says and i nod in acknowledgment.

"how are you and max feeling?" ezra asks and i know he's referring to dad's anniversary.

i sigh and say, "max is alright, i need to talk to him about it. i'll be okay, it'll be hard but i'll be okay."

he nods and kisses my temple. "i've got you," he says and im immensely grateful for it.

"i think we might take a little road trip," i say and he raises a brow, "we could go to our hometown for a long weekend to visit his grave."

he nods in agreement and i hesitantly ask, "would you want to come?"

he immediately nods and says, "if you need me, i'll be there, always."

i smile and kiss him before asking, "you won't be missing anything important?" he shakes his head and i ask, "would leo and keaton want to come? i could even see if phoebe and leela could come. maybe it could also be a little trip before midterms."

he nods and says, "as long as your not overwhelming yourself."

i nod and say, "i'll be alright. if im not, i have you."

he nods proudly. "damn right!"

i laugh as valentina walks through the door and i greet her.

i love his mom.

i introduce her to leela and phoebe and i can tell she approves. i know how close she is to keaton and leo so she's protective of them just as she is ezra.

i clap my hands excitedly and say, "let's start!"
