Within five minutes the ambulance arrived and loaded Diane in while working on stopping her bleeding and clean off the by now dried blood
They also managed to get Michael who still held Crystal inside the ambulance and quickly raced to the hospital where they took Diane to examine her and led Michael to a private waiting room where he finally managed to Crystal down who now was asleep in his arms, the new born was exhausted from all the crying and everything that happened
He quickly called Dana and told her where he was and that she should be careful, who knows where those hitmen went? If they found Diane maybe they're after Dana now or maybe it was something unrelated but just be sure she should be careful
Dana told him she'd stay inside the house all day and would watch out for anything suspicious or unusual

Michael was still in the waiting room and making sure Crystal was comfortable in his arms when a nurse told him he could come with her to see Diane
"She's awake? " Michael asked her
"Yes, she's about to hear some good and some bad news, it's better to have someone she knows with her once she hears the bad news" The nurse replied
"It's that bad? " Michael asked her
"I'm afraid so" The nurse answered and led him into the room Diane stayed, a private room, the hospital has a few of those private rooms since they are used to VIP patients, most famous and important people stay at their hospital, so their security system is also one of the best in the world and only a underground parking lot which is a media free zone
"There's my little girl" Diane smiled when Michael handed her her daughter back "Mommy missed you," She smiled and kissed her for head "Thank you" She added looking at Michael
"How are you feeling? " Michael asked her
"Sore" Diane answered "I'm blue and purple everywhere" She sighed
"How can someone be so..so...heartless to beat up a woman that recently had a baby too? " Michael wondred, shaking his head, violence against women (or people in general) was something he'd never understand, it's such a low thing to do
"Unfortunately we have lots of patients a year that got beat up for no reason, it's a very common but sad routine work here" The nurse mentioned sadly "But I'll go get the doctor to tell you how you're doing" She told Diane and left the room
"Again thank you so much for everything you've done, not many people would help their ex who wasn't very nice" Diane sniffed
"I couldn't just let you bleed to death" Michael mentioned "Crystal needs you" He added while looking at the sleeping little girl in her mother's arms
"Yes, she does, thank you so much" Diane replied
"Didn't we make a promise we'd always help each other no matter when? " Michael remembered
"But that was way back when we were talking about marriage" Diane remembered
"You should know by now I never break a promise, not even when I should, I just can't" Michael sighed
"Neither can I, except for the one promise I did broke, being more than your fiancé" Diane sighed "Sorry.....but I'm truly happy you found someone who will become your wife and mother of your children one day" She mentioned, truthfully
