Chapter 41

A few weeks later,

Wendy and Sara went shopping for Christmas decorations since its just three weeks before it's Christmas Day and no one had done some Christmas shopping yet, Cathy because she was mostly looking for a new place, the two superstars in the house where too busy with each other and the pregnancy, their jobs and mostly they work on Christmas Day since they were little but not this year so Wendy and Sara decided to plan a Christmas party and invited Janet, her fiancé Sam, Miguel, Michael's other sisters, Cathy's boyfriend who they would meet for the first time at the party and they also called Katherine if she wanted to come over, she said she might be able to come over since non of the other kids called yet and a family celebration at her place wasn't going to happen with the whole drama with Diane and her Crystal, who to this day no one (besides her parents of course) knew who the father was of the little girl 

While Wendy was shopping with Sara, Michael went to the office and Dana stayed at home, mostly taking it easy and taking care of the dogs, since Cathy was out looking for a house again

A call from a private number kept calling most of the day so he finally decided to pick up 

"Who is this?" Michael asked 

"Michael? " A woman's voice on the other end sobbed "Please don't hang up" She begged "I need to tell you some-" She sniffed 

"Hold on, who are you and why would I be interested in what you have to tell me? " Michael interrupted her

"I-its a-ab-about C- Cr- Crystal" She sobbed

"Diane?" Michael asked "Didnt I tell you I want nothing to do with you and that Crystal is not my child! You do have a lot of nerve to-" Michael began

"I know and I'm so sorry, please let me expl-" Diane begged him

"No, I know you, you make sure there's lots of press when you tell me your 'important' whatever it is and next day it's all over the world that I'm her (Crystal's) father and they finally have their 'family' picture" Michael replied

"No, I swear on my daughter that's not going to happen, please meet me at the Hilton hotel, room two thirty four, I live there, and let me explain everything to you, after I explained everything you'll never have to see me again and I'll quit acting and leave the country if you want" Diane sniffed and cried again, making Crystal cry "Sshh sweetie please don't cry" He heard her say to her daughter and felt like he had to give her chance to explain everything, well he did wanted answers 

"Tonight at seven?" Michael suggested

"Y-you- you're willing to listen to m-me?" Diane asked wiping her tears 

"If you really mean what you said and not doing this for media attention, then yes but if you do this for media attention-" Michael told her

"I really meant what I said and I'm not doing it for media attention I swear, please believe me" Diane told him

"See you tonight" Michael answered and hung up 'Will I finally have answers tonight? Or is it all a media attention stunt? She sounded like she meant it, so did her 'I love yous' but that was one big lie as well' He thought and sighed 

"Is everything ok?" Gina, his personal assistant asked walking into his office a few hours later once she was done for today

"Hm? Yes everything is fine" Michael answered "If Dana calls will you tell her I'm in a meeting, I am in a meeting, just not here, it's an outdoors meeting" He mentioned  

"But I've not seen it in the agenda for today" Gina answered "I just checked it" She added

"I know, it's a last minute meeting" Michael replied
