Michelle POV
I smiled as I put on my Giants sweatshirt.
I am beyond excited because today is going to be
the best day ever.
Ok, I am going to stop right here and explain myself.
My name is Michelle and the reason for my excitement is because today my best friend, Lisa and I are going to a New York Giants football game.
Wohoo! Go Giants!
An hour later, Lisa and I arrived at Met Life stadium in the Meadowlands.
The Giands were playing those dreaded Dallas Cowboys today.
Luckily, though, the Giants were able to pull off an awesome win. 30-17.
Lisa and I were beyond happy.
As the stadium started clearing out, we were walking and trying to find our way out when all of a sudden, we were near the Giants locker room.
Wow!
"I can't believe we are actually at the Giants locker room." I said, to Lisa with somewhat excitement.
"Oh I know, girl, it's awesome. Maybe you will see your man." She teased.
Lisa is referring to Odell Beckham, Jr, my crush.
OK, so it may be just a tiny bit more than a crush. I am in love with this man.
"I hope so, too." I said, with a smile.
About five minutes later, most of the team started to emerge from the locker room.
We never did see Odell come out.
"Well let's go, Odell must still be in there." I said, to Lisa.
"Are you sure? I don't mind to wait." Lisa said.
"Yeah, let's go."
So with that, we began walking toward the exit of the stadium when all of a sudden, the door opened and someone came out and we ran straight into them, none of us looking where we were going.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry." A voice said.
I looked up and when I saw who it was, I swear, my heart stopped.
There he stood. The most perfect man in the world.
Odell Beckham Jr.
"Hello there ladies" He said, looking at us.
"Hey" We said, nervously.
"Hope you enjoyed the game." Odell said, with a smile.
"Oh absolutely." I said, with a smile.
"Nah, it was OK." Lisa said, in a teasing manner.
Odell laughed. "You're funny"
Then he looked her in the eyes."How 'bout we go out sometime?"
I felt my heart drop.
Lisa looked at me. "Well, actually-"
"Please?" He asked. "I won't take no for an answer."
"Well, ok." Lisa said.
I felt a sadness overcome me and tried so hard to hold back tears.
As happy as I am for Lisa, my heart is broke because I am the one that is in love with him.
(sigh) Just my luck, I guess.
A few evenings later, I was sitting at home in front of the TV.
This is the evening that Odell and Lisa are supposed to go out on their date.
I was trying so hard to force my self to think about something else.
However, it's about impossible.
Oh great. Here come the tears again.
I am honestly not mad at Lisa in any way.
I just wish that I was her now.
A few minutes later, my doorbell rang.
I wiped my eyes and went to answer it.
When I got there, I must say I was very shocked.
Again, in front of me stood the man that I love.
Odell Beckham Jr.
"Hey Michelle" He said, with a smile.
"Hey" I said. "I thought you had a date with Lisa."
"Well, I did, but we talked a while and decided that it probably would not work between us. Plus, there is another beautiful girl that I have my eye on as well."
"I see." I said.
Odell looked at me and smiled."Michelle, you are so beautiful. Would you consider going out with me?"
I was in shock. I really could not believe that this was happening to me.
Please God don't let me be dreaming.
"Yes, yes of course." I said, happily.
With that being said, he kissed my cheek.
"Please come in." I said, smiling.
Odell entered my apartment and we spent the rest of the evening talking and getting to know one another.
Tomorrow night he is taking me out to dinner.
I soooo can't wait for that.
Well, in all honesty, I hate that it did not work out between Odell and Lisa.
Actually, no I don't because I am now the happiest girl alive.
Lisa found a guy to make her very happy as well.
So, therefore, it is a happe ending all around.
