Kristina POV
"Babe, are you ready to go?" I asked my sweet boyfriend fairly early on this Sunday morning.
"Yes, I might as well be." He says.
I smiled.
Right here, at this smile, I am going to stop and explain myself.
My name is Kristina, and I am currently dating Rob Gronkowski, tight end for the New
England Patriots.
Trust me, ladies the name tight end says it all.
Anyway, if that was too much information for you, moving on.
The Patriots have a bye this week so therefore Rob has no game today even though it is Sunday.
Therefore, we are going to make a trip to New York for him to meet my parents,
I am very excited.
I looked at Rob, who was staring into space.
"Baby, are you all right?" I asked him.
"Who me? Yeah I'm ok." He said, with a wink.
"Ok, do you want to drive or do you want me to?"
"Ummm you can if you want since you know where you are going." Rob said, quietly.
"Ok" I said,grabbing me keys.
I must admit I'm a little concerned.
Rob is not acting like himself.
So we set off driving (or I started driving I should say).
Rob remained quiet the biggest part of the way.
Finally at the halfway point of getting to New York (yes that's where my parents live),I could
not take it anymore.
I pulled over at a convenience store.
"I need some coffee." I said.
"Yes a cup,would be nice." Rob said.
So,we both decided to stretch our legs by walking inside the store.
Three minutes later, we come out with our coffee and I begin driving again.
As I pulled back out onto the highway , I looked at Rob. "What's going on,babe? Are you sure you are all right?"
"I'm fine." He said, as he sipped on his coffee.
I looked at him and could tell that he was not going to offer me any more of an explanation.
I sighed and looked toward the road and continued to drive.
I wish he would just tell me what is on his mind.
Oh well.
Rob POV
Damn, I know Kristina is probably getting frustrated with me.
The problem is I am very much in love with her and I'm scared as hell of what her parents will think of me.
I really hope they like me. Damn, I've got to try to loosen up here.
Pray for me, peeps.
Kristina POV
Two hours later, we arrived at my parents home in New York.
I smiled as I took his hand and we walked toward the front door.
I opened and we walked in.
"We're here!" I called out.
"In the living room, dear!" Dad calls out.
We walked into the living room to find my Mom and Dad sitting in front of the TV watching the Giants and Cowboys game.
Oh and by the way, my parents are huge Giants fans,
Rob POV
Holy shit! This room is covered in Giants stuff. Hell, I've never seen so much blue and white
In my entire life.
This could be bad for me because everyone knows the Giants and Patriots are enemies.
Oh please God, help me now.
Kristina POV
"So, Dad, how are you?" I asked my father.
"DAMN IT!!!!!!!" Dad yelled as the Cowboys scored a touchdown.
I sighed. I'll never get Dad's attention of that damn ball game.
"Honey, turn that off. We have a guest here." Mom said.
"Hell no" Dad said.
"Well at least turn it down. Dinner is about ready anyway."
"Fine" Dad sighed, turning down the TV.
With that, we walked into the kitchen where Mom already had the table set for dinner.
""So, Mom, Dad, this is my boyfriend, Rob Gronkowski." I said.
"Nice to meet you dear." Mom said.
Dad looked at him. "I've seen you on TV."
"Yeah" Rob said, smiling nervously.
"Well, so, I expect you are treating my daughter right." He then gave Rob a serious look."I do have a gun and I'm not afraid to use it."
Rob gulped.
"Daddy" I groaned.
"What? I'm just messing with him, sweetie. I like this guy."
Rob smiled in relief and I kissed his cheek.
We then settled down to dinner and then after that we finished watching the game, which the Giants won, by the way.
Thank God.
By this time, we were too tired to drive back to Foxboro, so,we decided to stay the night, which made both Mom and Dad very happy.
We walked into my room, I said, "well today has been a good day."
"Yes it has." Rob said, with a smile.
"My parents really like you."
"Thank God" he said, with a look of,relief on his face."I was so worried."
"Is that what was bothering you this morning?" I asked.
"Hell yeah. I really like you Kristina. I wanted to make a good impression on your parents."
"Well, don't worry you did." I said,smiling.
Then I yawned.
"I'm tired. Let's go to bed."
"Sounds good to me." Rob said,wiggling his eyebrows.
"Babe, this is my parents house." I said, blushing.
"I know, but ya can't blame a guy for trying." He said.
I smiled and pulled him into a kiss.
Gotta love this guy.
