I slowly opened my eyes. It's another morning.
Another beautiful morning, I might add because I can see the sun coming through the bedroom window.
God bless this beautiful day.
I looked over at my husband, who was still sleeping peacefully.
God bless this beautiful man as well.
Ok, before I go on, I'm gonna stop right here and explain.
My name is Gracie and I am married to Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.
We have been married for a little over a year now and I can honestly say that it has been awesome so far.
Yes, ladies and gentleman, Aaron makes me one HAPPY lady.
I slowly scooted over closer to him and began kissing his cheek.
"MMMMMM" He moaned a little as he opened his eyes.
"Morning" I said, smiling at him.
"Morning, beautiful." He said, giving me a wink and pulling me into a kiss.
I smiled again as he looked outside the window.
"Looks as if it is going to be a beautiful day."
"Yes it does" I said, happily. "The perfect day for something."
"Oh yes" Aaron said. "Perfect to practice with the guys today."
I gasped. "What?????"
I can't believe he has forgotten already.
I was about to say something when he looked at me and smiled.
"I'm only kidding,baby. Of course I remember."
I smiled and gave him another kiss.
I'm sure you are wondering what is going on so I will tell you.
Today is my family's annual summer barbecue.
They have one every year and it is always a lot of fun.
I looked at Aaron and smiled. "I guess I should start breakfast."
"Nah, baby, you just relax." Aaron said, with a smile. "I'll bring you breakfast in bed."
"Awww you are so sweet."
"You know it." He said, with a wink. "Just relax. I'll be back in a few."
"Ok sweetie." I said, with a smile as he went downstairs.
I sighed as I relaxed in bed. How did I get so lucky to have such a great guy?
Which is why I feel kind of guilty.
Why, you ask?
Well, I have a secret.
It's a really good secret and I'm sure Aaron will be really happy, but I just haven't figured out
the right time to tell him just yet.
I would tell you folks right now but I don't think it would be right so therefore you will find out when he does.
Right now I'm just going to enjoy being pampered by my wonderful husband.
Later on the day, we arrived at my family's barbecue.
Most of my family was already there, including my parents and my sister and her family.
My older sister Sally is happily married and has two children.
Ryan, who is ten, and Serena, who is three.
Both of them came running when they saw that Aaron and I had arrived.
Ryan, my nephew, thins that the sun rises and sets around Aaron.
It is very cute and frankly I don't blame him.
I feel the same way.
We had no more than gotten settled into relaxing when Ryan came over to us again.
"Aaron, will throw the football with me?" He asked, smiling a little.
Aaron smiled."Of course, buddy."
With that, they took off further into the big yard that my parents have to throw the ball.
I smiled as I watched.
Aaron is so good with him.
A few minutes later, Serena wanted to play too.
She wants to do EVERYTHING her brother does,which I think is so cute.
So I found a little football that was the perfect size for her and began throwing it to her.
We had so much fun.
We finally all got hungry again so we decided to take a break and eat again.
As we were eating, Aaron looked at me and smiled.
"I love playing with your niece and nephew."
"Me too" I said.
"They are so much fun. I can't wait until we have children of our own someday."
I looked at him and put my hands in his.
I have been waiting for this moment and now is as good a time as any.
"Aaron, sweetie,...." I began, "you don't have to wait very long. In fact, only about eight more months."
Aaron looked at me with his eyes widened. "Baby, are you telling me.......?"
"Yes" I said, with a smile. "I'm pregnant."
Aaron pulled me into a hug. "Oh my God, baby, that is awesome!"
"I think so to-" I started to say and then I was cut off by Aaron pulling me into a kiss.
We were still kissing when all of a sudden, Sally spoke up."Woah, guys, gettin' a little steamy over there."
"Well, we have some news that we would like to share if you want to hear it." I said.
"Of course, dear." My mom said.
"I'm pregnant." I said, with a smile.
"Oh my God, that is awesome!" Sally said, pulling Aaron and I both into a bear hug. "I get to be an auntie."
"Another grandchild to spoil" Mom said, hugging us as well.
Aaron and I looked at each other.
"I love you." I said.
"Love you too." He said, and gave me a wink.
Our life together has been wonderful so far and it is only going to get better from here.
