It's Worse in Person

Inside of the bridge of her ship, Eugen was thinking to herself about the many things that have plagued her mind during their short adventure out to the Ocean.

The first, who is this mysterious attacker that took on several highly trained swords women? What are her goals?

Second, if they run into her, can they talk her down and possibly find why she attacked?

And third...

Eugen: I feel like we're being watched, like a Jaguar hunting down a caiman. One is deadly and shouldn't be messed with, but the other is worse and uses that to attack it's less threatening foe

She looked all around the three, and even from the raised position of the bridge she couldn't spot a single thing.

Eugen: Maybe...I'm being jumpy, that's all

She sat down on the captains chair, simply keeping an eye on her instruments and chatting with the two other ships.

Eugen:*radio* Anything on your end Nimi?

Z23:*radio* Negative, I haven't spotted any threats

Z1:*radio* I didn't see anything either, but I'll keep an eye out

The click in the radio signaled the end of the talk, so she put it down and relaxed into her chair.

Eugen: We'll be out at sea for a while, it won't hurt to relax a bit

She closed her eyes, putting her feet up on the table and slowly feeling the lure of sleep come to her.

...

*DONG*

Eugen: DAH!!

She fell out of her chair and landed on the ground, where she laid in pain for a few moments before getting up.

Eugen: What was that?!

She looked out the window, seeing both of her allies ships still there. Confirming that, she looked down at the clock.

She was napping for 20 minutes.

Eugen:*radio* Nimi, Zed, are you there?

Z23:*radio* Yes, we just came aboard to investigate a strange reading that came from your ship. Since you were sleeping we decided to check ourselves

Eugen:*radio* My~, looking out for me so I can get my sleep?

Z23:*radio* J-just get down here...

She cut the call and stretched a bit before heading to the interior of her ship. As she walked, the familiar halls she knew as herself felt shockingly cold, more so than usual.

Eugen: Is the AC running? I could have sworn I turned it off

Ignoring it for now, she continued onwards and soon exited out to the deck, where both destroyers were stood waiting.

Z23: Good, you're here. Before we go in, did you find anything out of the ordinary?

Eugen: No, the only problem is that the AC is somehow running when I turned it off earlier

...

Z1: You have an AC?!

Eugen: Yes...we all do

Z1: I don't!

Z23: Didn't you get the letter? We all went to get a system installed in our ships

Z1:...I don't check my mail...

Z23 pat her sisters back as she moped. While Eugen tried checking for irregularities in her vessel. Even still, she found nothing wrong.

Eugen: I guess we have to check for ourselves if this is bad or not. Nimi, let's go
