A few weeks passed, and everyone now knew about Charles and Anastasia's new relationship. It was the talk of the town. It had even been published in magazines and gossip columns that the young heiress had a boyfriend. Unfortunately, news of this relationship had also spread to the United Kingdom, and to a certain blond boy at Hogwarts along with an overprotective father.

Draco was beyond shocked.

Needless to say, so was the Dark Lord.

In fact, the Dark Lord was furious when one of his advisors told him.

"SHE HAS A WHAT!" He had roared.

He had appointed one of his death eaters to act as a private investigator and watch over Anastasia after he heard the news.

Meanwhile, Draco was having the worst day. Ever since it had come out in the news that Anastasia had a boyfriend, he had been having the worst week ever. Not to mention, he had joined some squad that Umbridge had put together to try and find some secret club. It was stupid, but he hated Potter, so it was worth it. Draco had contemplated writing to Anastasia and confessing his love for her. But, the last thing he needed was for an angry boyfriend to hunt him down. Ever since Anastasia went to the Yule Ball with him instead of Charles, Charles had made it abundantly clear that he hated Draco. Hated him with a passion. When Beauxbatons and Slytherin practiced together, he had sent a group of bludgers over to him that all rained down on him.

Now that he was dating her, he understood his hatred for him when Stas went to the Yule ball with him instead of Charles. This newfound hatred also made Draco want to go to Frace and kick his ass.

He was almost as furious as the Dark Lord.

Now, that was saying something...

The Dark Lord

My daughter had a boyfriend. Absurd. I was ready to go out to France and kill the asshole. But, I needed Anastasia on my good side. So, I decided against killing the kid. Instead, I had one of my many brainless servants go and find out everything they could about Charles Avery.

At least she is dating a pureblood.

And a pureblood whose father and grandfather are part of the cause.

While I had Yaxley spying on Anastasia, I decided to write a letter and give the girl a piece of my mind about this obviously brainless boyfriend until Yaxley returned.

Yaxley returned with a full paper report on Anastasia's day.

"Who'd you write this for? A muggle studies professor?" I said mockingly as I threw his report down on my desk.

Yaxley practically turned purple at my words. It was pathetic.

"Well, don't just stand there like a lost dog, get out," I said furiously.

Once Yaxkey left, I began reading his report.

"DID THAT BOY TOUCH HER?"

That was only two sentences in. Who knew what would happen next.

After I finished reading the report, I sent my letter to Beauxbatons. Obviously, I didn't sign it. Salazar forbid someone else to read it.

When Anastasia returned to her dorm from classes, she was greeted by two letters on her bed. Both read 'Anastasia' on the front. Unfortunately, on one, she recognized the Handwriting to be her father's. Of course, she opened that one first.

Anastasia,

I have recently received news about a certain Charles. He needs to go immediately. No brainless fool is worth an ounce of my daughter's time. I do not want you around some meathead who flies around on a broom all day.

If you insist on wasting time with those of the opposing gender, at least pick one worthy of you to marry.

PS: Your return letter better say you dumped the asshole or I will personally dump him and drown him in a lake.

"Blah, blah, blah," Anastasia said, throwing the letter on the floor, then steeping on it.

After ranting to herself for a few minutes, Anastasia proceeded to open the next letter.

Dear Anastasia,

I don't know what to say. Except, it would have been nice of you to tell me you were now dating that pathetic bloke in a letter, instead of me finding out in the men's lavatory. Also, I should remind you that you chose to go to the Yule Ball with me, not him. So, Why him? Because he plays Quidditch, and he is handsome or whatever? In case you forgot, I play quidditch and every girl tends to think I am pretty handsome. You are much too good for him and if he knew any better he would stay away before I kill him. Go ahead and hand him the letter if you wish just so he knows what is coming to him.

Draco

Anastasia was speechless. Two letters disapproving of her relationship. Both containing death threats nonetheless.

After sitting in her silence for a while, there was a knock at the door.

"Don't come in." She said.

"It's me."

Anastasia didn't say anything and just remained curled up under the covers. After a moment, Charles came in.

"What's wrong?" He said worriedly as he sat on the bed beside her.

"Nothing." She mumbled.

"Then why are you all curled up in bed." He said, rubbing her forehead softly.

"Because," Anastasia said, looking to the letter she received from Draco.

Charles picked up the piece of parchment and began reading it.

Needless to say, he was furious at Malfoy. He tried his best to hide it from Anastasia but failed.

"Don't be upset over this." He said sternly to her.

"It's a little late for that." She said.

"Well, no more thoughts about this asshole starting now." He said as he stood up to leave.

"Where are you going?" Anastasia asked.

"To respond to your letter." He said. He then gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving.

Anastasia almost wanted to say something, but she decided against it. It was Draco's fault that he did not confess his feelings for her sooner.

He deserved what was coming to him.

When Charles returned to his dormitory, he immediately began his long letter to Draco Malfoy. It was going to be a letter that Malfoy would have nightmares about.

It bothered him immensely that Draco was sending owls to Anastasia. He wanted him away from her. He knew that Malfoy was practically in love with Anastasia, and he knew that she, at one point, liked him. He wanted to make sure that Draco would never come near her again and that she would never think about him again.

After all, how would he become her betrothed if Malfoy was around?
