My eyes open as my senses start returning to me. I blink past the bright light as a soft beeping reaches my ears. I look around to find I'm in a hospital private room, with a sliding door leading to the bathroom.
There's a mask on my face that's feeding me oxygen and I look to see my mum in the chair beside me, her head resting on the bed as she sleeps. My dad is pacing behind her, gray eyes filled with worry.
I then remember what happened and look around for Tony. He wasn't here.
"Mum, dad," I say, causing dad to whip his head around to me, his eyes widening in shock and crushing relief.
"Aqua!" He exclaims, causing mum to jerk up with a start. Her crystal blue eyes jerk wide when she sees me awake, and fill with the same crushing relief as dad's.
"Oh, my baby! You're alright!" Mum says as she carefully hugs me, which I return as best I could. Mum pulls back and dad hugs me next. "Do you remember what happened?" She asks when dad pulls back.
I nod, feeling my neck. I feel a bruise there from where Lightning Man tried to choke me to death. "Where's Tony?"
"You've been out for a few days and Tony had to leave. He made us promise for one of us to let him know immediately of any changes. Nat, Steve and Clint were here yesterday," Dad says, making me feel surprised.
"Really? They were?"
Mum nods. "When Tony told Fury what'd happened, he'd immediately summoned Nat, Clint and Steve to tell them what Tony told him."
"Tony doesn't have all the details," I say.
"I'll go let the nurse know you're awake," Dad says and he leaves while mum straightens in her chair.
"I guess that leaves me to text Tony," She says. Mum takes out her pink iPhone and sends the message to the Stark, while I try to fingers out what time it is.
"What time is it?" I ask.
"1 am," Mum says, hitting the send button.
The nurse soon arrives and does the usual checkup on my vitals, saying I should be right to leave in the morning. As she was asking me what I wanted to eat, the door opens and Tony, Pepper, Nat, Clint, Cap and even Fury walk in, all of them looking relieved to see me awake.
The nurse finishes writing down my order (which was kind of a lot) and gives me a smile before leaving.
"Hey, Aqua, how are you doing?" Tony asks. The nurse had also taken off the oxygen mask, allowing for me to talk easier and to eat.

"Well, I sorta feel like crap right now, but I'm alive," I say, making them chuckle. "Thanks for saving my butt back there."
