The next morning, Ella woke up, and the first thing she did was check her cellphone. She saw a text from Ace and immediately opened it. She blinked to clear her vision.
⊱⋅ ⋅⊰ Ace:
Can't pick you up today. ⊱⋅ ⋅⊰
She furrowed her eyebrows and sighed. She did her daily routine and got ready for school. She asked her dad to drop her off but he had to go to work early. She decided to walk to school. She steadied her backpack and walked out of her house. It just a thirty-minute walk to school.
She finally reached the school and took a deep breath. She looked around and her eyes fell on Ace's car. He got out and walked to the passenger's side. He opened the door and Veronica stepped out.
"What?" She whispered to herself.
He wrapped his hand around her waist and they walked in. She furrowed her eyebrows and followed them. She was so mindlessly following them that she walked straight into someone's back.
"Woah, slow down, Carter" Hunter said
"Why are you always in my way? Can't you just disappear or something?" She asked pissed off and walked away from him leaving him speechless.
She lost sight of Ace and huffed. She stomped towards her class and saw Ace and Veronica seated. Veronica was again sitting in her seat. Both of them were busy talking. She sat in the back with Vincent and the rest of Hunter's friends. Hunter's seat was empty.
