Luz was in at Amelia's house upstate. Everyone called it a house but Luz knew it was more like a mansion. It was just as IF not bigger than Blight Manor. There were dozens of servants all waiting on Luz's hand. The teen found herself getting used to the treatment. Amelia had left to go speak with the head of house so Luz was left to explore. She walked up and down the halls but it was barren. Cold and empty, this mansion felt more like a place to show off rather than to live. Unconfutable Luz entered a room, sliding her keycard into the slot to unlock the door. The smell of chlorine hit her nose. Luz closed the door. She opened another door which lead to an arcade, another lead to a music room, anime room. Movie theater, rock climbing room, it was endless. Luz continued on her way. Arcades and movies on Earth lost meaning after one has experienced the magic of a Boiling Isles Live show. Luz could only play the instrument's Skara had taught her and not ONE existed on Earth. Finally rock climbing and swimming brought back horrible memories. 'I should get better at swimming and climbing.' Luz admitted to herself.

But then the memory of hanging off the edge of a cliff, holding on for dear life with one hand, while Amity was held lifeless with the other. The image of Belos laughing as he towered above and kicked them over the ledge sent shivers down her spine. The memory of climbing the cliff after Odalia Blight had scarified her, the memory of being drowned in a pool of monster blood overtook Luz's thoughts. Suddenly Luz was on her knees, horrific memories rushing back at once. Forgotten moments and locked memories connecting as Luz began to shiver. Tears welled to her eyes, dripping down her face and onto the ground. Her voice lodged in her throat.

"Luz?" Amelia was standing above her. Looking down at the girl. Almost towering over her.

Amelia dropped to her knees and hugged Luz, letting the teen burry her face in her expensive shirt.

They stayed like for some time. Just the two of them. Oh if it was only the two of them...
