Chapter 41

Peeta pov:

I'm kissing Katniss in the halls. I don't think she knows the affect she has on people. I hope she knows I care and that I need her. We pull apart and go back and crash our lips together. We are making out. Even though when people make out it's aggressive but Katniss lips are calm,warm and kind. We pull away and I rest my forehead on hers.

"Katniss I do need you"  I say and I look into her beautiful grey eyes while she stars into my dull blue eyes. My hands are still around her waist and her hands stay around my neck. I feel electricity flow around the room. I love her so much she can't imagine. We pull apart and I smile.

"Ok I believe" she whispers and my smile get bigger. I grab her hand and nearly dragging her back to the cafeteria. We sit down and before anyone can say anything Katniss speaks up.

"Hey....um I know this is t the best time" she starts. "But Cato are you going to eat that?" She asks and everyone laughs. She grabs Cato's taco and eats it.

"Thanks" she says and Cato just a shakes his head. After lunch Katniss heads to history and I sit in bored as hell without Katniss. My class flys by really fast and it's finally gym class. I make my way to the change room where is see Finnick putting on his gym shorts. I put on my gym shorts and most of the guys don't wear shirts so I choose not to wear one too. I walk out of the change room and see Katniss with Clove. Katniss is wearing adidas leggings and a black sports bra which makes her look super hot. She notices me staring so I quickly look away which makes it more obvious.

"Take a picture it lasts longer" she says walking up to me.

"Sorry your just really hot" I say and shut my mouth.

"I'm thinking if I should punch you for being a perv or kiss you for calling me hot" she says.

"Kiss me?" I ask hopefully. And before I know it she punched me in the arm. She didn't do it as hard as she would pinch someone else but it still hurt a little.

"Owww" I whine.

"Sorry, maybe later I can make it up to you" she says with a smirk and walks away to Clove. I just smile like a dork. I feel someone slap my abs and I see Finnick standing there with a goofy smile on his face. I must have been staring at Katniss.

"I heard what she said" he says with a smirk. "You think she meant-" he starts.

"No Finnick me and Katniss haven't even..." I say.

"Really all this time you two never even got close to-" he starts.

"NO FINNICK!" I yell and everyone in the gym becomes silent. Everyone quickly goes back to what they were doing but Katniss seems startled by my anger. I don't usually get mad but at some point Finnick really gets on my nerves. Katniss comes over to me. Finnick quickly scurries off.

"You ok?" She asks worried.

"Yeah Finnick just got on my nerves" I say calming down.

"It's ok your cute when your mad" she says and raps her arms around my neck. As soon as Katniss touches me I am fully calm. She gives me quick little kisses in my lips and I guess that's enough to piss Delly off. I keep my arms around Katniss's waist because these little kisses feel really good. Delly comes up to us and stands there with her arms crossed. I don't pay much attention because I am still kissing Katniss. Delly clears her throat but me and Katniss don't flinch. Delly now clears her throat louder and Katniss pulls away from me annoyed by Delly. I groan in frustration because I was having a really good time.

"What?" Katniss whines.

"Why are you kissing my boyfriend!?!" Delly asks angry.

"For the last time Delly, Peeta will never ever love you!!!" Katniss yells.

"W-well I-I-I...." Delly starts but she taken back by Katniss yelling. Delly punches Katniss in the face abs Katniss falls to the ground. She quickly gets up and tackles Delly to the ground and starts punching her in the face. I think that's enough and yank Katniss off Delly and I have to hold her back. Delly gets up and her and her minions go to the girls change room. Katniss gets out of my embrace and walks out of the gym. Finnick runs after her. I stand there like an idiot. I asked Katniss about her past with Delly once but I guess there was more than WhT I thought. Finnick soon walks back with calm Katniss over his shoulder. He walks up to me and drops Katniss to her feet right in front of me and Finnick walks to Clove. Katniss stand there with her arms crossed and she's not looking at me.

"Katniss?" I ask sternly.

"Ok ok I'm sorry" she says.

"For what?" I ask sternly because I know why she's saying sorry but does she know.

"For whatever I'm supposed to be sorry for" she says. I shake my head.

"I don't see what I am supposed to be sorry for, Delly punched me!" She says.

"Fair but Katniss you punched her more than once and you didn't seem keen on mercy" I say.

"I know but I can't stand her and every time I look at her I just get a memory when she was an ass to me back in middle school" she says quietly.

"it's ok" I say and hug her.

"Hmm now where were we?" I ask and she laughs and raps her hands around my neck and we are about to kiss when the Coach yells....

"DODGE BALL!"

"Yay" says Katniss and runs to Clove. I stand there and frown when she comes back and gives me a quick peck on the lips. I smile and so does she then she runs back to Clove and the Coach picks the team captains.
