Katniss pov:
Conner saved me. I hug him tightly because I am still shocked that he saved me.
"Oh my god Conner you saved my life" I say pulling away.
"Are you ok?" He asks.
"Yeah just a little shocked" I say.
"Come on you should tell Peeta" he says leading me in the way to Peeta's house. I walk into the bakery and see Peeta.
"Oh hey Katniss- oh are you ok?" He asks seeing my expression. He puts his hands on my cheeks and I nod. I am in shock. I almost died. Peeta brings me to his room. I sit on his bed and he leaves to talk to Conner. I hear their voices. Conner is telling Peeta how I almost got hit by a car. When their done talking Peeta comes back in his room and holds me tight.
"Katniss are you ok?" He asks. And I just nod.
"Say something" he says but I don't.
"Please" he begs.
"I'm ok" I whisper. But you can tell by how my voice sounds I wasn't ok. Then I remember Prim. I grab Peeta's phone and put in Prims number. Peeta looks at me confused but I still need to call Prim.
(On the phone with Prim)
" hey Prim I need to stay at Peeta's tonight ok?" I say my voice cracking.
"Are you ok?" She asks.
" yeah I'm ok just go to bed" I say.
"Ok goodnight" she says and hangs up.
I sit on Peeta's bed and put my hands on my face. Peeta runs to me and hugs me. I cuddle close to him and I slowly drift off.
