today i woke up not feeling too good. my face felt swollen, my head was hot, i had a massive headache,
felt like i was gonna throw up, my throat burns, and my muscles were sore. ughhhh. today's just a bad day. i yell in my tired voice, in hopes carmen will hear me.

soon she comes into my room.
carmen: what's up? shouldn't you be getting ready for school?
you: i feel like shit
she comes over feeling my head.
carmen: ya your burning up. email the school. i'll go have steven make you some tea. then you rest
she leaves my room and i pull out my macbook, emailing the school that i won't be there today. i lay down and close my eyes til carmen brings me hot tea. i take a few sips then set it on the nightstand. she leaves my room turning the light off and shutting the door. i'm almost asleep when my phone vibrates. ughhhh. come on.

i close my eyes until i hear my door creak open and then shut. i don't even look up. suddenly the left side of my bed dips behind me and warm arms wrap around me.
you: your gonna get sick ya know
josh: that's alright
he kisses the back of my head and i fall asleep. i don't think i slept for too long. when i wake up, josh is holding me with one arm and scrolling through his phone with the other.
josh: feel any better?
i shrug.
josh: steven was making chicken noodle soup.
you: ok
he grabs my remote turning on my tv and going to netflix. he already knows to put on NCIS, since we watch it all the time. so far, josh and i are on season 3. he lifts me up a little, laying me down on top of him and holding me with both his arms. finally steven comes in with two bowls of soup.

we eat our soups while cuddling and watching tv. once we're done, josh goes and gets a cold rag. he places it on my forehead in hopes to try and cool my burning head.

you: normally carmen helps me when i'm sick but she never sits with me all day. she has to go do other things. no ones ever really taken care of me all day like this

i started to not feel the greatest after a few hours but i want gonna say anything. katelyn never really had anyone and i think she likes having someone to be here withh her. so that's what i'm gonna do. i'm gonna stay here and be with her until she feels better. and honestly? just knowing i'm making her a little tiny bit better, makes me feel really good. i don't wanna leave her side. i'm not sure what it is about her, but she makes me feel so different than the other girls i've dated.
