"I just want her to like it, I feel like I owe it to her especially with it being her first New Years back and with the drama with Scott the other day and me being upset I just need to show her that everything is okay with us" I sigh
"Trent you're crazy bro, she's insane for you." Tyler exclaims
"Ya I know but..." I was cut off by Marcell
"You're still on this Mason thing aren't you?" He asks
I look at my brothers and sigh "is it bad that I am? She can only tell me so much but what Scott said the whole 'boy toy' thing like it bugs me"
"Their best friends Trent," Tyler sighs
"Ya I get that and I know it's crazy to think but again, Mason does love her. He will always love her. And it sucks cause whether I screw up or not in this relationship he's gonna be there for her. He's waiting for me to mess up I know it"
"Again you are overthinking it," Marcell shakes his head and leaves the room
"You need to learn how to trust her Trent, I understand what you are saying about Mason but at the end of the day you are with Shaima, not him. Don't screw up something that you have especially when it's this good" Tyler states and heads over to the living room.

I look over to Mason who had a stank face looking down at his phone.
"What happened?" I ask and raise my eyebrows
"Don't worry I'll deal with it," Mason sighs
"Mason what happened?" I ask more curious now
He looks up and sighs "Marcus just texted me, apparently Scott hasn't stopped talking about the other day and well.... your name hasn't left his mouth."
I look at him dead in the eye with anger in my face. "I'm gonna kill him, I don't understand what his problem is and it's really starting to get on my nerves"
"Well I did warn you," Mason slightly laughs
"Well if I didn't date him then I wouldn't have learned how to protect myself. You learn from these things"
"And if you didn't date him you would've dated me" Mason winks
"Don't be so sure about that Mount, I would've made you play the long game"
"I'm still playing the long game adsaur you just don't know it" he laughs and I throw a pillow at him.
"Tell Marcus to shove a sock down his throat maybe he'll shut up then. And I'm not just speaking figuratively" I say in a serious and then we both start having a laughing fit.
"This is fun, we haven't done this in a while" Mason states
"What? Sitting here and being fat asses together?" I laugh as I eat my slice of pizza
"And enjoying each others company, I missed you Shay" Mason smiles and I couldn't help but smile back
"Sometimes a break is needed Ya know especially with being with eachother constantly" I shrug
"We didn't see eachother for 2 years and you think we need a break?!" Mason laughs
"You know what I mean Mason" I laugh as I hit his chest
"I know, I know I just like to bug you" he smiles
"Good cause I don't want you thinking like that. You aren't getting rid of me that easily,"
"I'm not planning on it" Mason smiles and throws his arm around my shoulder "how's Trent?"
"Honestly he's been off since the game and what happened with Scott. Like it's weird seeing him like that"
"Everything is gonna work out, you can't think negative like that" Mason tries to reassure me but all I can think is the opposite. I just want him to trust me but it just seems we are starting from the beginning once again.
