EVELINA'S chipped black nails tapped against the steering wheel as she tried to ignore the three men in the car with her and contemplated the decision she made since she finally had time to do so due to the overwhelming traffic.

She kept on telling herself it was going to be okay and that it was important, it had to be. Why else would two superheroes take a man they put in jail, out? She tried to keep her face stoic and unbothered but Bucky who sat in the back seat saw the turmoil in her eyes, still he said nothing.

Instead of thinking about what Zemo needed from her in Madripoor, she thought of what she was going to pack when she remembered the most important thing in her life. "Mr. Wilson do you mind handing me my phone? I need to make a quick call. It's in the back pocket, the one with the zipper." Evelina finally broke the thick silence.

When Eva first entered the car she handed her book bag to Sam who was definitely the most trustworthy out of the three. "Who do you need to ca- Why do you have a knife?" Sam cut himself off when instead of a cell phone, he pulled a pocket knife out of the pocket. The three men were shocked, although she was intimidating at first, they thought she would be as harmless as a butterfly, not as deadly as a butterfly knife.

Evelina snickered at the wide eyes her father wore in the rear-view mirror and replied. "You all seem to forget I'm a woman. And I need to call my cat sitter. If were going to Madripoor for a few days I don't want to come home and find my cat dead." She brushed off her years of training with the weapon as a necessity in every woman's purse, like her wallet, keys and pepper spray.

Sam handed her her phone hesitantly and Evelina smiled at him sarcastically. She punched in Mrs. Talliers number and waited for her to pick up. Vanessa Tallier was the nice old French lady who lived on the floor under her. She had cat-sat for Evelina many times before which helped her with the terrible accent she had when she spoke French.

"Bonjour Vanessa. Ecoute, je suis désolé pour le court préavis mais peux-tu s'il te plaît t'occuper d'Alpine pendant quelques jours pendant mon absence?" Evelina yet again surprised the others when she began to speak French flawlessly. Vanessa agreed immediately but asked some questions that Eva was scared to answer.

"Quand devriez-vous le chercher et combien de temps serai-je parti? Uhm, dans une heure et pendant environ deux semaines." The moment she answered the first question she had no choice but to take the phone away from her ear before Mrs. Tallier blew it out. Vanessa was very known for being organised and normally would need two days notice before she had to take Eva's cat.

Evelina couldn't help but chuckle at the old lady she had known for about a year. Zemo, Sam and Bucky were genuinely confused why she was laughing at the old woman who cursed loudly through the phone. "Je suis tellement désolé Mme Tallier. Je pense que l'appel est interrompu, je ne peux pas vous entendre. Je vous aime, au revoir." Evelina spoke again and hung up.

Eva put her focus back onto the road and just as a light turned green, Bucky from the back seat decided to ask a question. "When did you learn to speak French?" He was genuinely curious, he noticed she didn't have an English or Sokovian accent when speaking French which led him to realize, she had an English accent, not a Sokovian one, like her father?

"I started French lessons in school when I was eight, I believe." Eva answered his query truthfully, there was no reason to lie, it wouldn't impact anything negatively nor positively. "They teach French in Sokovian schools?" Sam queried further and Eva's thoughts were proven incorrect.

"I haven't been in a Sokovian school building, scratch that, Sokovia in general, in about fifteen years, right father?" Sam and Bucky could feel the tension between the father and daughter after she delivered that very low blow. The rest of the short ride to her apartment was spent in a pregnant silence.

The only way to describe the ride there was awkward but they'd finally arrived at the large apartment complex that Eva lived in. She was the first to exit the car, the rest followed after her, and Sam handed her her book bag back.

They were about to enter the building when someone caught Evelina's eye. She held her pointer finger up to signal the group to 'wait a moment' and stomped over to the boy, more anger visible than when she first approached her father mere minutes ago.  She put herself in between the young man and obviously uncomfortable, younger girl.

"Hello my dear Callum, how are you on this nice day? Harassing another young woman, I see?" 'Callum' cowered in fear and the girl took his distraction as an opportunity to back away. "What did I tell you I'd do if I caught you harassing another girl Callum?" Evelina continued and Callum muttered something under his breath.

Eva asked him to repeat himself but louder and he did. "You'd cut off my dick and tell my mum." She smiled and nodded her head. "And what did I just catch you doing? Callum, I have a proposal. I'm going to be gone for a few days and if I come back and find out you haven't told Samantha what you've done, I will cut off your dick BUT, if I get a call from her before I get back saying you confessed, I'll think about letting you keep it. Deal?" Callum, wide eyed, nodded his head furiously.

Evelina waved her hand and dismissed the seventeen year old making him run past the trio, bewildered after overhearing the interaction. Eva turned back to the girl who now hand tears running down her face. Evalina's motherly instincts kicked in and she coddled the younger girl into her neck, trying to calm her down.

The poor girl tried to stutter out a 'why' but her sobs stopped her. Still, Eva understood and answered. "Why? Oh dear, us gals have got to stick together. Here, I have a gift." Evalina pulled out a bottle of pepper spray, disguised as deodorant and two £50 notes. The girl looked up confused at her but just smiled.

"The deodorant is actually pepper spray, aim for the eyes and the money is so you can pay for a taxi and a new outfit so you won't be reminded of what happened every time you look in your wardrobe. Here's a little bit of advice, if a man like him is ever bothering you, don't forget to sing. Solar plex, Instep, Nose and Groin." As Evelina listed the best places to aim for she tapped each area slightly to show the shaken girl the general aiming points.

Eva sent her a reassuring wink and the nameless girl rushed to the nearest bus stop. When the girl regrouped with the astounded boys she couldn't help but be proud of herself for proving to others how different she and her father were. He killed people and she helped people.
