Olivia's POV

I tried everything to figure a way out of this house without letting dad know. He doesn't have a security system but I think he has cameras planted outside the house somewhere. I just got to find it. I went to the front door, no camera. The back door, no camera. The windows, no camera either. If there's no camera then how the hell would he know if I'm gone?

I looked at the ankle monitor that was on my ankle. I've tooken it off before to take a bath & dad didn't expect a thing afterwards. Maybe if I put it on my stuff animals leg then he wouldn't know I'm gone. I took off the ankle monitor & put it on my teddy bear. It remained red.

I walked downstairs to the back door. I left it cracked opened just in case dad come homes early. I went down street to Marco's house. I really need to talk to him. I approached his front door & knocked on it. The door flew opened, revealing a sleepy Marco.

"Hey, Marco."

"Sup" he chug down a jug of H20.

"Were you sleeping?"

"Kinda, what's up?" He said.

"What happened the other night? Why did you disappear?"

"Your dad is why I disappear" he said "when you went upstairs to check on him. He was downstairs staring at me deadly. Like he wanted to kill me instantly. So, I left immediately before he could do anything."

"Oh my god, he saw you?"

"Yes! And i could've sworn I saw his eyes turn brown" he said.

"Brown?"

"Yes, brown. Doesn't he have blue eyes?" He questioned.

"Yeah, he does."

"I don't think your dad is mortal" he joked.

"Did he say anything to you?"

"No, he just gave me this evil glare" he said.

So, dad knows about Marco? How come he didn't do anything about it? Is he waiting for the right moment?

"Okay."

"What are you doing out here in the cold?" He asked.

"I know, I could've called but I believe in talking to a person face to face."

"So, basically you want to read me?" He said.

"Kind of, I mean you haven't called me."

"I've been busy" he said.

"Throwing parties?"

"Mostly but I'm trying to get right before school starts again" he said.

"Okay, cool."

"Is that your dad's car pulling up?" He asked.

I looked behind me "oh shit! I gotta go!"

I ran back to the house, luckily the back door didn't closed itself. I ran upstairs & put on the ankle monitor. I turned off the light & quickly got into bed. I messed up my head a little to make it look more believable. I turned onto my side with my back facing the door.

I heard his footsteps coming upstairs. My heart was racing like crazy. Its felt like I did a marathon. My bedroom door opened revealing light from the outside. He came towards the side of the bed.

"Liv?" He placed his big hand on my shoulder.

"Hm?"

"Did i wake you?" He asked.

"No" I faked yawned & stretched "how did it go at the court hearing?"

"It went fine, your staying with me" he smiled with joy.

My heart broke as I heard that statement. Damn, I won't be able to live with my mother. I want to get out of here.

"That's great news."

"We need to celebrate."

"Now?"

"Of course, now" he giggled "get up!"

"But its midnight."

"Who cares? Come on!" He flung the covers off me & picked me up bride-style. He carried me downstairs & placed me on the dinner table.

"Are you cooking?"

"Yes, I am!" He went through the cabinets looking for something. He pulled out a bottle of wine & opened it. He got two glasses & poured it away.

"I'm gonna have a headache in the morning."

"It will be all worth it because you get to stay here with me forever."

"Yeah."

I think its time for me to make a plan.
