Chapter 13 - What are we?

(Amberleys P.O.V)

I decided that I was in desperate need of a shower and it would also give me time to think. After turning the water on and getting in, I let water just flow over my body. I started to think about Alex and I don’t know what we were… what were we? I mean he lives in Baltimore and I live in Vancouver… but there is something about him and when he leaves in 5 days, I don’t it to be the end. I guess ill just have to talk to him about it, see how he is feeling.

(Alex’s P.O.V)

So basically as soon as Aj left the room and was out of ear shots all the guys excluding Matt started wolf whistling and what not.

“So Mate how was last night?” Jack asked

“That’s for me to know and you not too” I said quoting Aj’s words.

“oh I see how its going to be!” he said, but then the subject changed and we got to talking about tours, music and what not. Before I new it Aj was finished getting ready, I don’t know how she always manages to look so amazing. She just had a pair of light grey skinny jeans on with high tops and a deep purple jumper on, her hair was up in a pony tail and she just had some light makeup on. she just looked amazing in my eyes.

(Amberleys P.O.V)

I guess it was now or never to talk to Alex so when I went back into the lounge room I walked over to him and just said

“Uh wanna come grab a coffee with me?” he looked up and smiled and just nodded. I think the others heard because they didn’t say anything, until just as we got to the door

“Ambs, bring me back something?” I knew it was josh

“You wish jelly fish” was all I said before leaving the apartment, even though I knew I’d probably end up bring him back something. I linked my arm with Alex and we started to walk towards the closest Starbucks. We didn’t really talk on the way there, but it was awkward, just peaceful. When we got there we both got coffees and took a seat by the window.

“So ah we should talk” I said as I took a sip of coffee

“What the matter?” Alex asked seeming nervous

“I don’t really know how to say it…” I paused “ Alex, I really like you and I want to continue to get to know you, but I’m just confused because you live in Baltimore… but when you leave in 5 days I don’t want that to just be it” I spat out

“Aj, I really like you too and I think that if our feelings towards each other are strong enough we can make this work” he said as he grabbed my hand

“Really?” I asked

“Definitely” he confirmed

“Okay well do you reckon that we can just take thing slow, like when we are in front of the guys just act like friends until we figure out what this is?” I asked

“I’m fine with that” but I wasn’t sure, I just didn’t want to rush into something.

“Its just that I’m afraid of getting hurt again, so I just don’t want to rush into a relationship… are you sure that’s okay?” I questioned

“Amberley” wow that’s the first time he has used my full name “ I really like you, and yes I am afraid to rush into anything too, so I’m happy just taking it slow. Maybe before I leave we can discuss what our next move will be, sound good” he sounded confident now. I nodded and smiled. We then just went into a flowing conversation about nothing really. Just before we left I grabbed Josh a drink because I just felt like being nice. We started to walk back to my apartment. When we got back, it looked the guys had hardly even moved. I walked in and gave josh his drink
