I open my eyes to the blaring alarm
"ugh" I groan hitting the snooze button.
'BEEEEPPP BEEEP BEEEEEEEP' I look at the clock and its 5:30.
"Hey you up?"
"Yeah sadly" Sophia says rolling her eyes "yeah I know it should be illegal getting up this early"
we get out of the bed painfully slow and change into the outfits we picked out the night before.
I throw on my cropped long sleeve shirt that says 'bonjour' and dark acid wash jeans with combat boots.
"Ooo outfit on fleak" she says walking over to me and I laugh.
"Ill do my makeup in the bathroom, I have to wake mom up anyway"
"alright" she says taking her makeup bag over to the vanity.
I go into moms room thats down the hall from mine and see her fast asleep in the sheets
"hey, its 5:45. You have the photoshoot at 7 today, ill be here in 15 minutes if your not up"
"mhm" she groans throwing the duvet over herself. I giggle to myself and exit the large master bedroom.
I go into the bathroom and quickly apply my usual makeup.
Once im finished I go into my rom and Sophia's already working on her hair
"wow you work fast" I say and she gives me the finger
"oh my gosh" I gasp dramatically
"oh shut it you"
When she is finished she gives me the straightner and I go over a few pieces that have a wave or dent in it.
6:00
I go back in to moms room and sure enough shes still asleep.
"Come on sleepyhead, get up" I poke her sides as she giggles and squirms under the covers
"im up, im up" she groans pulling herself up against the head board.
"Am I driving you two?"
"If you want"
"yay" she says rapping her arms around me.
"You are so silly in the mornings" I laugh.
"Do you know if I have anything to do tommorrow, im really bad at memorizing me schedule"
"nah I think your good, but ill text lily to make sure"
"alright thanks"
I take out my phone
'hey mom wants to know if she has anything planned for tommorrow.. Is she free or is there the book signing this week?'
'Shes free saturday and sunday of this week. And next sunday is the book signing☺️'
I shove my phone back in my pocket
"She said your free this weekend, next sunday is the book signing"
"oh yeah, I forgot about that"
"doesn't surprise me" I laugh And she throws a pillow at me.

"Guys come on your gonna be late" mom screams up the stairs.
We rush down the stairs and out the front door within minutes.
"How you feeling soph?"
"Fucking nervous" she says taking a deep breath
"it will be fine and plus your with me most of the day anyway and ill show you where all the classrooms are"
"alright" she says and holds my hand tightly trying not to focus on the nerves.
We finally pull up to the school.
"Bye" mom says hugging both of us before we get out of the car.
We walk over to Nicolette and Abril
"hey guys, this is Sophia, Sophia this is Nicolette and Abril"
"nice too meet you" Sophia says
"you too" both girls say and we head into the school.
We walk into first period together "sit next to me" I say as soon as we walk in.
She sits in the empty desk next to me and soon the class starts to fill, The teacher looks over too Sophia
"so I see we have a new student, whats your name?"
"Sophia"
"where are you from dear?"
"LA"
"thats nice dear, well welcome to my class" she says and a few students giggle.
"See not so bad" I whisper and she gives me a nervous smile.
First period goes by really slow, really nothing interesting.. Well history never is. Learning about the civil war never really is that interesting unless its like videos and stuff because other than that Ms. Evans is a real bore.

We walk into science and sit over by savannah and Abril.
Kaitlyn turns around too Sophia
"oh look fresh meat"
"go Fck yourself" I say and the whole class erupts into laughter
"what are you gonna do call your mommy on me?"
"Oh seems like your acting like a bad ass now but when she did talk to you, you where shitting your self and almost cried. grow the Fck up" I say and she rolls her eyes and faces forward
"thanks" Sophia whispers to me
"welcome" I smile
We work on our lab most of the period and spend the last few minutes going over the answers.
The next two periods fly by and next thing I know school is over and we are getting in moms car.
"How was school girls?"
"Great" I say and she turns to Sophia
"how was your first day babes"
"pretty good, Thanks to bri it went a lot better then anticipated"
"im really glad we did too" I smile
"Are you staying today too or do you have too be home?"
"Whatever you wanna do" she says going through twitter notifications
"Alright then I guess you're stuck with me again" I laugh
"Fine" she giggles.
Once we get home I throw my backpack onto the couch
"wanna go in the pool?"
"Sure, why not" she says closing my bedroom door behind her
We quickly change into bathing suits and walk outside too the pool.
"On the count of three" I say taking hold of her hand
"one.. Two... Three" I say and we both jump into the pool, plunging into the cold water.
I swim back to the surface
"god this water is freezing!"
"yeah I know" she laughs
"Well either way this really isn't the ideal time for swimming" I laugh.
"Yeah im pretty sure swimming season ended a month or two ago" she going in, our laughter a mixing togther creating a beautiful melody.
I could really see myself getting on with Sophia. Me and her are more alike then I realized in the beginning. I really can see me and her being close friends.
