Chapter 35

Brianna's pov

"Bri? Wake up, you have school today" I open my eyes and remember im suppose to walk to class with Shawn today.

I quickly get out of bed and change into a white oversized sweater, black leggings, high rise dark brown boots, and a grey/charcoal colored infinity scarf.

I then run into the bathroom and curl my hair and do my makeup.

I finish at 6:37 so I still have about 20 minutes to eat breakfast.

I go downstairs and see mom staring aimlessly at the wall

"hey" I say and she jumps and turns to me

"hey, I didn't hear you come down"

"yeah, everything alright?"

"Mhm" she says sipping her tea

I grab a granola bar from the cabinet and sit down next to her at the table. "So what are you're plans for today?"

"going food shopping and I have to stop at xfactor to pick up my last pay check" she says and gives me a sad smile

"remember be strong infront of simon, don't let him see you care. Walk in there like you own the place" I say and she smiles at me

"thanks" I put my hand on top of hers and give it a gentle squeeze and smile back.

I look at my phone and its already 6:40 "I better get to the bus" I say and mom stands up

"can I drive you?"

"Sure if you want" I say and she smiles, grabs her keys and we head out of the house.

The ride to school is an awkward silence but I have no idea why. I know mom is thinking about something but I cant put my finger on it, I wanna ask but at the same time I don't wanna upset her further.

We arrive at the school and I lean over the consol and hug her "remember what I told you, be strong. Text me after how it went, love you" I say and kiss her cheek

"love you too" she says and I get out of the car. I run up to the girls and tell them all about me and Shawn walking to class together.

"Make sure you guys get a picture but don't make it obvi, walk behind us a few feet and take it" I say and hand ava my phone.

"Ok" she giggles and so do the rest of them.

Shawn walks over to me and stands next to my locker while the other girls stand on the opposite side of the hallway pretending not too see

"hey" he says and I smile

"hey Shawn" I say and slip my hand into his

My heart swells as the heat of our hands increase, this is incredible. Words cant even describe how perfect it is right now.

We walk into first period together hand and hand getting 'awe' looks from everyone else in the class.

Cheryl's pov

I pull into the xfactor parking lot with me heart about to jump out me chest.

I but on my brave face and walk past all the paparazzi refusing to answer any questions and ignoring them, all screaming things at me..

'cheryl why did simon fire you?'

'Did you know he replaced you with Nicole scherzinger?'

'Does that upset you?'

I quickly walk through them and into the huge xfactor buliding. I bring lily with me and she helps me pack up all the stuff in me dressing room
