"Go! Get him and go," I ordered, blocking a thrust from the alien woman's weapon. I twisted the trident and jabbed it forward, shoving her back. A car exploded next to us as Vision hit it with a beam from the stone. Wanda didn't question me as she shot into the sky towards them.

The alien took another stab at me, but I dodged it, circling her. I didn't have to move from my defensive position as large spikes of ice broke through the ground, knocking her off her feet.

"Leave now. This is the only warning you'll get," I hissed, glancing back to see if Wanda and Vision had gotten the hell out of here. The look cost me, because she swiftly rammed into me, and I smashed into a nearby building. My breath was knocked out of me, and I watched as she hit the two with a blast from her weapon. They tumbled through the air and smashed through the roof of the train station down the street.

The female took off after them, and I pushed myself upright, grabbing my trident and opening a portal into the building. My weapon phased away as I entered the building.

She and I arrived at the same time. Vision was lying on the ground, injured and in pain. Wanda had a long laceration on her forehead, breathing heavily as she stood protectively over him. I blocked the female's path to the pair.

"Move." she growled, her blue body coming closer.

"I don't think I will."'

My body tensed to pounce, but glass shattered above us, and the other alien dropped down. He knocked me to the ground, planting his foot on my chest and his spear hovering at my throat. I glared at him, but he just pushed the tip further into my skin. The female stepped forward and Wanda's hands glowed with power as she waited for the attack.

The female froze as a train whistled by, her eyes fixed on the other side of the track. Wanda glanced over her shoulder in confusion, and I curiously watched from my precarious position. The last car passed, and a dark silhouette stood in the shadows of the other platform.

She threw her spear at the figure without missing a beat. It clanged as it was deftly caught, and the person sauntered into the light. My breathing hitched and I swallowed loudly. Steve stood there, holding the weapon in his hand.

There was a flurry of activity and Sam soared into view, knocking the female through a glass window. The one above me had been distracted enough by the chaos that I was able to knock his weapon away from my throat, giving me time to jet up. He turned on me and I threw up a mandala shield, forcing him to stumble back.

Steve tossed the spear to Natasha as she sprinted into view, engaging with the alien in front of me. The female came rushing back into the platform and I tossed an array of shards her way. She avoided them as the male screamed in agony. He collapsed to the ground as Natasha yanked the spear back out of his abdomen, his weapon clattering several feet away.

I took a blow to the face, my hood finally falling back as I rolled across the ground, spitting out blood. She summoned her weapon, and it flew out of Nat's hands. She snatched it out of the air and brought it hurtling toward my chest.

Steve jumped in front of me, catching the spear with the weapon he had snagged from the ground. He grunted as she pushed forward, but finally managed to shove her off. Natasha ran at her, her batons lashing out and hitting their marks.

The three danced for a moment and I climbed back to my feet. A bright ice beam smacked into her chest, throwing her across the platform. She crawled to her companion and kneeled next to him. He was still lying on the ground from the fatal wound.

Sam thudded down in front of the couple and drew his pistols on them. Steve and Natasha approached as well.

"Get up," she ordered him.

"I can't," he croaked, his voice reflecting the pain he felt.

"We don't wanna kill you. But we will," Natasha told them coolly.

"You'll never get the chance again."

The ship's beam shot down and they soared up into it, the weapon shooting out of Steve's hand after them. The ship disappeared into the night sky; it was quiet.

My eyes had been fixed on Steve's back, and he turned to face me. We stared at one another from opposite sides of the platform. The world around us faded away as I searched his face. There were so many things I wanted to say. To apologize for.

I took one step forward, unsure. His eyes lit up and he gave me a reassuring smile. A small, strangled noise escaped as I ran to him, my cloak billowing behind me with each step. He took a few steps toward me, and our bodies collided.

I threw my arms around his neck as I jumped onto him, my legs wrapping around his torso. He crushed me against his chest, and a quiet sob rattled my body. His hands moved down to my waist as he gazed into my face with his bright blue eyes. His lips met mine fervently, my heart ready to beat out of my chest. The kiss turned softer, more gentle, until we finally broke apart. He didn't put me down yet, and my hand caressed the side of his face.

"I love you," I whispered, my voice shaking slightly. His eyes danced at the words.

"I love you, too."

A-not-so subtle cough broke through our bubble, and he set me on my own feet gently. Sam approached us as Natasha and Wanda supported Vision between the two of them.

"It's been too long little sister," Sam grinned, his arm wrapping around my shoulders unexpectedly. I blanched unconsciously in surprise, but quickly leaned into the embrace as his brows furrowed.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm older than you" I smirked. The reaction was quickly forgotten.

He rolled his eyes and scoffed, "Only by two years." I shrugged in amusement, and we walked over to the others.

"Thank you for your help," Wanda breathed graciously. I nodded, greeting Vision and Natasha as well. God, I had missed them. Vision grew more unstable by the second, and Steve grew serious again.

"We still have the trip back home. We need to get to the jet," he said, glancing around at everyone. His hand was intertwined with mine, and I gave a light squeeze, a wry smile tugging on my lips.

"I think I can help with that."
