Y/n's POV
"We're now in the second half with less than half the time left!" Present Mic called out.
I gritted my teeth as Bakugo became more and more agitated by the blonde guy's provocation.
"Bakugo," I hissed. "Stay calm."
"Yeah," Kirishima supplied. "If you don't calm down, we won't be able to get the points back!"
Bakugo growled harshly as he let loose an explosion.
"Forward, Kirishima!" He seethed. "Right now, I'm totally calm!"
His face said otherwise.
"We're seriously counting on you!" Kirishima said nervously.
Then we charged.
"DIEEEEE!!!" Bakugo screeched as he aimed an explosion at Blondie.
However, Blondie dodged just in time and shoved Bakugo away, before blasting an explosion back at him.
Hang on... what?!
"Wow, what a nice quirk!" Blondie laughed.
"Bakugo, someone has the same quirk as you, too?" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Damn it!" Bakugo yelled as he launched an even bigger explosion.
"Really, such nice quirks." Blondie smirked as he blocked Bakugo's attack by turning himself rock-hard.
Wait but that's...
"Wha...? Mine?" Kirishima stuttered in disbelief.
Don't tell me...
"Guys... this guy's quirk! I think it has something to do with copying other's quirks!" I told them my theory.
"That's right!" Blondie smiled. "Well, even an idiot can figure it out, huh?"
"Yeah, it's a pretty lame quirk if you ask me. I mean, you have to depend on others' quirks to make your own work." I sneered.
Suddenly, a milky substance poured towards us from the side, covering Kirishima's right leg.
"Monoma, let's go! With this many points we can definitely make it into the top four!" A guy on Blondie's team told him.
So Blondie's name is Monoma huh...
"After them!" Bakugo barked.
"It's solidifying!" Kirishima said. "Wow! I can't move!"
"Wait a second! I'll melt it with my quirk!" Ashido said as she put her foot over the hardening substance and covered it with acid.
"We have to hurry! We have zero points right now!" I warned.
"Oh, don't blame me!" The Monoma character looked back. "You're the one who provoked us, right? What did you say for the pledge again? Let me think..."
"Number one. Not just first place. I'll take an indisputable first place!" Bakugo growled lowly.
Finally, Kirishima managed to break away, and we proceeded to chase after Monoma and his team.
"Wait!" Bakugo yelled after them. "I said wait!"
"That's not going to make them stop, Bakugo!" I noted.
"Shut up, extra chick!"
And with that, he leapt towards the opposing team.
However, this guy blew a gust of air and solidified it into a plate that blocked Bakugo.
