"look, he-he'll come around, he's doing a jj thing okay?" currently we're seated at the wreck, as john b convinces us that jj will be fine

i scoffed, "a jj thing?"

"you think he'll go home?"

"there's about a zero percent chance jj goes home." pope stated

"yeah?" i asked "oh, well where is he gonna go huh?" they were quiet so, i got up

"where are you going?" kie sighed

"i'm pissed off so i'm leaving before i break something." she shrugged and i rolled my eyes, walking out the door as i heard them lightly mentioning fishing.

i walked to the one place i knew i could just relax. 

"hey babe," i sat down "how have you been? i've been okay. some things were brought up, and it kinda triggered me, i left before anything dumb would happen like last time.there was this big fight and and i don't know what i'm supposed to do, who's side i'm supposed to be on." i let out a breath of air "i just, don't really have a home anymore?"i offered " i mean no, i'm not homeless but theres no where i feel home, like i felt home with my mom, with jack, with you. i feel safe with jj. but i dont have a steady one place where i'm at home." i wiped the stray tears that had fallen.  "everything would be easier if you we're here." i sighed "i miss you."

i heard kiara and pope pull up to where i was 

"go away." i muttered

"just get in the damn car maddison." she said and i rolled my eyes but complied.

pope began to go over the plan 

"so we got jj and john b inside the well, and me on top." we nodded "and the three of you will be outside transporting." we got the things from the car and all froze when we heard a generator whir to life and lights lit up all around us

"what the hell?" pope asked, we followed the source to see a hot tub

"who is that?" kie asked

"jj?" i asked quietly "what did you do?"

"i got a jet going straight in my butt right now," i resisted the urge to laugh

"y'all should get in immediately, you hear me? salud!" he drank straight out of the bottle of champagne.

"how much did this cost?" was all pope could get out 

"uh.." he paused "well with the generator, the petrol, and oh, hey, express delivery...about  all of it."

"all of it?" i asked

"yeah all of it."

"you spent all the money in one day?"

"yep burned a whole right through my pocket." "but i mean like, come on guys, like look at this. finest jet based massage therapy, thats what they told me." kie looked at him concerned

"kie what?" 

"can't a man have a little luxury in life? come on, all this scrimping and scraping..." i looked at him scared

"i mean you only live once right? enough of this emotional shit, get in the cats ass."

"the what?" i asked

"the cats ass. thats what i named her." i looked down "oh hey yo, i almost forgot," he pressed a few buttons before the lights were flickering different colors

"huh?"

"disco mode thats right baby!" 

"are you kidding me?" 

"You could've paid for restitution!" pope yelled

"or literally given it to any charity." kiara angrily added i just stayed quiet

"you could've paid for supplies to get the gold out of the well!" 

"well i didn't do that okay?" he stood up making the bruises littered across his torso, my breath hitched

"jj..." 

"i got a hot tub! for my friends!" my eyes filled with tears "no, you know what? screw friends, i got a hot tub for my family!" 

"what the hell?" pope whispered

"look what i did for you guys," 

"jj." i said 

"no stop being emotional, its fine ok?"  i started to walk towards him 

"i mean its sweet right? just get in.." i stepped in and wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him into a tight embrace. he started sobbing in my arms and i felt the tears leave my eyes.

"i just couldn't do it..." i rubbed his back holding him tighter 

"i cant take him anymore!" he cried and a silent sob left my mouth "i was gonna kill him!" kiara and pope joined into a group hug as he continued to cry

"i just wanna do the right thing."

"i know," i whispered

"i know."
