3rd person's POV
"She'll be fine after this, unnie" Soojin helped Hyunjin to get up from the bed
"Please take care of Jinjin" Soojin smiled and nodded. Hyunjin got out of the room and go back to where Heejin is.
She saw her dad and twin brother standing there. Her dad look at her and gave her a sad smile
"Dad" she walks to him and the man give her daughter a tight hug
'I'm not yet ready for you to hate me, my daughter... but it needs to be done'
"How's your daughter?"
"Soojin said it's all under control and she'll be fine after they transfer my blood to her" the man nodded and caress her daughter's head
"What is it dad?" Hyunjin asked, it's very strange for her dad to act like this
"Dad needs to tell you something, Hyunjin-ah"
"What is it? Tell me, dad" Hyunjin just look up to her 'father'
"You're not Lee Minyoung" he said that caught everyone's attention
"What are you saying, appa?" Minho asked his father as his eyebrows furrowed
"She's not your twin sister, Minho-yah" nothing of these are clicking to Hyunjin
"What are you saying, dad?" she's so confused
"You're Kim Hyunjin" he said and their audiences gasps
"What?" she stilled in her position
"You're not my daughter" tears are building up at the corner of Hyunjin's eyes. How can she be Kim Hyunjin? She's Lee Minyoung
"I'm sorry I took you away from your real family" he apologized
"Seriously dad... What are you saying!?" Hyunjin look at Heejin and her expression says that what he's saying is true
"How can I be Kim Hyunjin?"
"The day you got into an accident... My daughter was announced to be brain dead after being comatosed for 2 years. You were rushed to the hospital and I did save you but after that... I saw Taemin inside your room and was about to kill you using potassium. I stopped him and he threatened me that he'll kill my wife and my son if I tell anyone about what I saw. I was forced to give up my own daughter's life to give her heart to your sister. He was still planning to kill you when I asked him if I can take you with me instead" Jungmin explained and Hyunjin is having a mixed feelings about what she just found out
"Back in US, I tried so many times to send you back here but you didn't obey me because you want to be there for Suji and you even misunderstood it. I was tempted to tell you everything but it'll worsen your condition. I waited for you to ask me, Hyunjin-ah. I waited for your memories to come back" his eyes started to water
"Why are you telling me this just now?" pain is visible in Hyunjin's eyes as she process everything
"I don't want you to force yourself to remember everything, Hyunjinie. Like what I said, it will make your headaches worse and it may cause you to grow brain tumor" he said and Hyunjin sigh heavily
"I know you're mad at me but please remember what you promised me" he gave her a smile
"There is still something you want to tell me, right?" Mr Lee sigh and nodded
"Say it now" Hyunjin's voice is as cold as ice, she's been living in lie for a ten- no scratch that eight fucking years
"I'm dying" that escaped his mouth and it seems like Minho and Hyunjin's world stopped. There was a long silence until Hyunjin speak
"What do you mean..." she stop talking as she remember what she saw this morning. She walked past Mr Shin's office and she saw her dad and Doctor Shin talking while there's a skull x-ray shown in the computer. It shows a very large brain tumor and she thought it belongs to one of their patients...
"I know you hate me-" Doctor Lee was cutted off when Hyunjin jump to his arms and hug him tight
"How could you huh? You lied to me for eight years and you will just leave me? You still have to make it up to me dad" Hyunjin cry uncontrollably on her father's chest while lightly hitting him
"I-i ha-hate y-you so m-much" she said between sobs and Mr Lee smile at her sadly and rubs her back
