Lee Hyunjin's POV
We finished our food and we walk back to our neighborhood. While walking back there I'm carrying Jinjin and holding Heejin's hand at the same time.
"Why do you look so happy?" Heejin asks and I look at her
"Just because" I held her hand tighter and smile
"Looks like it's you who missed me" she teased
"Of course I missed you" I look at her eyes and caress the back of her hand using my thumb, drawing random patterns
"Then why you didn't come back sooner?" we keep on walking behind the others, keeping our distance from them and got lost in our own world
"Because of work?"
"Because of work or because of your girlfriend?" her face looks so serious right now
"Because of work. We're both doctors in my dad's hospital so we see each other often and we don't even go out that much" I fixed Jinjin's position a bit, she fell asleep while Heejin and I are talking
"I'm sorry" why is she apologizing suddenly?
"For what?"
"For running away that night" she gave me an apologetic smile
"I already said it's okay. You can't just force yourself to move on and love another person again, right?" she slightly nodded
We keep on walking and she let go of my hand when we reached the front of my house. I sighed and I felt Jinjin squirmed a bit
I smiled at her when she open her eyes. She hugged my neck and kiss my cheek.
"You're going home now?" she asked with a sad tone
"I will still give you my gift remember?" oh fuck the car key is with Lino
"Stay here with mommy Heejin I'll just get the key okay?" she shook her head vigorously and hug me tighter
"Just bring me with you" I can't... my dad is there
"Hyunhee-yah she said she'll be back okay? Don't be stubborn" Heejin said sternly making Jinjin look down and slowly got down from me
"Wait here okay?" I pat her head and enter my house
"Unnie why you didn't bring that kid in? I want to play with her" Soojin said from the couch
"Shut up Soo we still need to talk but let's just talk later" I climb up to Minho and Jisung's room
"Minho-yah where's the key?" he pointed the table where the key is and I quickly got it. I ran back downstairs and got out.
I opened the backdoor and get the paper bags. I closed it gave the kids each of the paper bags and lastly I gave Jinjin one big paper bag
"This bish has a favorite" I just chuckled and the kids thanked me
"Minyoung-ah" I heard my dad's voice making me look at where it came from. He's at my veranda and he tilted his head a bit gesturing me to come
"N-ne abeoji" he closed the door and I let out a sigh
"We'll see you guys again tomorrow" I smiled at them and caress rhe back of Jinjin's head
"Well good luck talking to him"
