ID-CARD
Shhh. I'd stay quiet if I was you.❞

Odessa walked through the woods with a bottle of Jack Daniels in her hand. The sun was setting and everyone who she was with was either drunk or high. Or both.

"Dessie." Slurred Thomas as he pointed to the girl. "What made you join us on this fine evening?"

"School trip." Odessa span around making her plaid skirt sway. "I got bored of the Captain America exhibition." She shrugged, pushing her dark hair behind her ear.

"That explains the uniform." Amy pointed towards the girl, taking a drag of her spliff.

"Alright then, what makes you think you can hang with us?" Stood up Jacob, he took the bottle of Jack Daniels from the girls hands. "Steal this did we, Dessie?" He taunted.

Odessa rolled her eyes at the boy, despite being much older, he was definitely more immature than she was. The brunette allowed him to keep the alcoholic beverage and sat beside Cindy on a fallen over tree trunk. Cindy offered the girl her spliff, which Odessa took with a smile.

She brought the spliff up her lips and happily took a drag.

"Dessie, Dessie, Dessie." Mark rubbed his hands together with a grin. "You got anything for me?"

Odessa rolled her eyes but pulled out a packet of cigarettes from her pocket that she had stolen from the corner store as well as the Jack Daniels.

"Thank you." He instantly pulled out a cigarette and placed it in his lips before lighting it.

"Come on, Dess, I asked you a question." Jacob knelt down beside the girl. Despite being knelt down, he was still taller than the girl. He brought his hand up to cup her cheek. Odessa looked up at the light haired boy with wide eyes. "Answer it."

"Piss of Jacob." Amy slapped the boys hand away, breaking Odessa's gaze. "She'd do anything for us right, Dessie?"

Odessa nodded, it was true. She would do anything for the group. Whenever they told her that they needed something, she'd always managed to get it the next day.

"Great." Jacob clapped his hands together. "I want you to do something for me, Dess." He paused. "Around there is this dump of a building. These lot are all too pussy to go in."

"No were not." Mark snapped, tossing the packet of cigarettes towards Amy. "It just looks dirty."

Odessa chuckled at the man, he always played it off as if he was so confident and strong but he was the complete opposite.

"What do you want me to do?" Odessa questioned, standing up and looking up towards the boy. Jacob tucked a piece of the girls brown hair behind her ear.

"Bring us something back." His hand trailed down to her waist, pulling her closer to him. "Don't disappoint us."

The brunette nodded, taking one last look at the group before walking off to the condemned building.

She anxiously looked around before opening the rotted wooden door. Odessa grimaced at the loud creak that it made. She couldn't see her friends anymore, which also meant they couldn't see her.

Odessa chewed on her bottom lip as she walked through the small looking building. She pulled out her phone and turned on the flash, not being able to see a thing.

Her face scrunched as she saw a rat scurry across the floorboards, that creaked on every step she took.

The brunette opened another door that lead her down a flight of stairs, that seemed to be in much better condition to the rest of the building.

Odessa's heart was racing as she descended down the stairs. The lights flickered on, causing her to place her phone back in her pocket.

The whole place had an eerie feeling about it. She knew she probably shouldn't be inside. But all the instincts telling her to leave, she ignored.

Her hand grabbed the handle on the door at the bottom of the stairs before slowly opening it. She couldn't help but let her mouth fly open at the sight of the freshly painted walls and machinery.

"What have I walked into?" She whispered to herself. Curiosity getting the better of her as she closed the door and walked further into the building.

Machine hums filled the air as well as multiple voices. Most seemed to have a thick accents. She tried her best not to be seen by anyone.

Odessa's eyes flickered to the lanyard that rested upon a desk. She smirked once she noticed it was an ID card. The brunette slowly made her way over to the desk. Her fingers wrapped around the lanyard before pulling it down.

She looked around, realising that she had probably over stayed her welcome. The brunette slowly tried to back away and head back the way she came. Her eyes widened once she saw a man dressed in a lab coat walking her way.

Odessa quickly stood up and rushed around the first corner than she saw, leading her into a corridor filled with people in lab coats talking. She backed into a small door way. Her eyes landed on the ID scanner and shrugged, it was worth a shot.

She scanned the ID card and slowly backed into the room. She shut the door as a hand clapped around her mouth. Odessa was about to let out a scream when Bucky whispered into her ear,

"Shhh. I'd stay quiet if I was you."

Odessa nodded fearfully and span around to look at the man. His hand remained over her mouth as she looked up at him.

"Cause it doesn't look like you belong here." He uttered as he noticed the uniform she was wearing wasn't anything like what the doctors wore. Bucky slowly removed his hand.

"Oh my God. You're B-"

"Saving your ass, yeah." Bucky nodded. His eyes flickered to the small glass window in his door. The doctors were due their daily check in rounds. "Get under the bed."

"Why?" She questioned tilting her head slightly. Her eyes flickering up and down the man. She recognised him as Bucky Barnes, he was part of the 107th back in World War 2. Her eyes flickered down to his metal arm, that was certainly new.

"Because it's either in here with me, or out there with them." Bucky said. Odessa didn't hesitate in climbing under the bed just as the door opened.

"Good evening, James." One doctor spoke, he had a thick Russian accent. "How you feeling?"

"Tired." Bucky responded blankly. "Can I be left alone tonight?"

"Of course, the soldier needs his rest for tonight. He can train tomorrow." The doctor ordered and left the room.

"You can come out now." Bucky announced to the girl. She hesitate for a minute before sliding herself out from under the bed. "Looks like I have myself a stowaway."
