New Year's Eve

- Elizabeth's Pov -

"I really wanna tell everyone!" Meliodas groaned as he rolled on the bed. We were getting ready for the New Year's Eve Party that Ban was holding as it was his turn. There was no theme this year but he did mutter the word. No jeans.
"Well we can't not till the first scan" I didn't have the heart to tell him that other than Gelda, Ban and Elaine already knew I was pregnant "Besides there is a good chance that Zeldris knows as Gelda tells him everything"
"I wanna scream it from the rooftops. This is the longest I have ever kept a secret from anyone" Meliodas scrambled onto his knees.
"I know you do but you can't" I picked out a beige checkered skirt that came above my knee. Cream short sleeve blouse and skin-coloured heels. I also put on some tights. I wasn't going to freeze my ass off all because my Brother hates jeans "What are you wearing?"
"Urm. Black trousers, Trainers and a white shirt. If Ban wants to complain then he can shut the fuck up. I ain't listening to him"
"Did you ever?" I smiled. We both looked at the clock and saw that it was nearly 8. The party starts at half-past.

Who knew how much the others had drunk? Ban couldn't remember how many bottles he held in his hands, All he knew was everything was a little hazy and he couldn't stop grinning. I looked at the others and apart from me, Gelda and Elaine, all smiling and laughing. Maybe King was keeping track of how much alcohol was being consumed, maybe Diane, maybe neither. I shrugged the question away and joined the mess of bodies all dancing in their living room. A song that I have never heard came on the speakers. I think Meliodas had heard it before as he was immediately jamming along, Doing some weird arm swing thing. Ban was going the same thing. After that song was on, The song, Rocking all over over the world came on. Meliodas and Ban just looked at each other and went full-on rock and roll star.
"Deffo can tell that they are best friends" I folded my arms as I held my water. No one questioned it as I don't drink. I never enjoyed it. Elaine was standing next to me.
"Deffo" Elaine looked at everyone "So did you tell him?" Elaine whispered loud enough for me to hear.
"Yeah, I did" I grinned as I did a side glance at Meliodas. Speak of the devil, Meliodas turned to look at me, eye smile game strong and I just giggled.
"I don't even need to ask how he reacted do I?" Elaine folded her arms.
"No, you don't" I shook my head. It was then that Gelda walked over.
"Evening my fellow sobers. How's your night going?" Gelda sipped her cup.
"Taking bets on who crashes first" Elaine pointed to everyone "My money is on King"
"Voting against your Brother? I'll say Zeldris" Gelda put her hands in front of her "Elz, What's your bet"
"Essy. He was never any good at holding his drink" I gestured over to the window where Essy was slouched on the sofa. He was still awake but barely "At this rate, He won't make it till midnight"
"Why did he drink so much?" Elaine floated up by our heads.
"One, Ban challenged the new boy. Two, He tried keeping up with Meliodas and Zeldris and Three, He is drowning his sorrows. Mael kicked him out of The Goddess Realm. Permanently" I counted off my fingers.
"Why? What did he do?" Gelda and Elaine both spoke.
"I don't think it was fully Mael if I am being honest" I leant against the wall.
"The Masters?" Gelda gulped her drink.
"Yep. They tend to have an influence on Mael's decisions" I nodded as I took a glance at the man.
"Did Estarossa tell you what happened?" Elaine followed my glance.
"He was told that he was no longer allowed back because they found out he was gay" I sighed. The girls started chatting away like a pair of monkeys. I held my hand up "Calm it. Essy knew that they were looking for a reason to kick him out. The Masters hate the LGBTQ+ community and anyone who doesn't follow the norm"
"Sounds like a bunch of pompous stuck-up inbreeds" Gelda growled.
"The Masters are. They control everything. Even the ruler of the realm"
"So glad you ain't there right now. Don't think they would have much luck with you" Elaine smiled.
"That's why I left in the first place" I sipped my water. The girls looked at me funny "They wanted me to follow their rules and stuff. I said no and they threaten to have me kicked out. Took what I was entitled to and left anyway. Without warning. I only told Essy"
"I never liked the Masters. My Father hates them too. They find our race to be a tad wrong in their eyes" Gelda shook her head.
"Everyone hates them. In the eyes of the Masters, All races are inferior" I rolled my eyes "If I could change my race, I would"
"You are more suited to being a Demon than a Goddess" I heard a voice speak out. I looked around and saw that Essy was walking towards us.
"Essy? You okay?"
"*HIC* I feel like I am about to pass out *HIC* from the amount of booze that I have had" Essy wobbled "I got up because I need more brandy *HIC*"
"Good luck with that. I think Ban drank the last bottle" Elaine pinched her lips.
"*HIC* Then I will find something else to drink" Essy hiccuped.
"So what are your new year's resolutions?" I asked the group.
"I'm gonna start the new year being someone I want to be. *HIC* I am done dressing like a Goddess when I am clearly not one" Essy pulled at his hair "And as for this, I'm chopping it off. Never liked long hair *HIC*"
"Short hair might suit you" I grinned. Joel Corry's Lonely blasted through the speakers. Essy smiled as sat back down. His head rolled back as he sang his heart out.
"He's gonna regret drinking so much tonight" Gelda whispered in my ear "What's your is resolution?"
"To smile. Yours?"
"To convince Zeldris to get me a puppy. Elaine?"
"To get married" Elaine held her hands to her chest.
"Well you are halfway there, Being engaged and all" I grinned.
