CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

“Hadyn, I think this is a bad idea. We should go back.”

“Why? If Nova even lays a finger on you, I personally will protect you. So don’t worry.”

“You saw the room! He went crazy just because I told him I wasn’t coming back. He needs to learn how to control his anger before I let him even touch me.”

“He’s never usually like that Santana. I think it’s just you.”

“So you’re saying it’s my fault that he freaks out like that?”

“He’s crazy about you. You’re his mate. And he’s an alpha, used to having others bow down to him. He probably couldn’t stand the fact that you wanted to leave him.”

Santana looked down at her fingers as they walked. She knew how crazy Nova was about her just by his actions, but she wanted to be an equal to him. Being a housewife was not her thing. Didn’t they say she was the Luna? Wasn’t the new title supposed to raise her status, not lower it? She wanted respect, and Nova didn’t even try to give her it.

His scent was getting closer, her wolf getting excited.

Now make up, or I swear, Santana I will get revenge.

*Be quiet.*

They suddenly walked into the open area where the volunteers were. They looked up at her shocked. “She came!” and “He’s going to give her hell but take it out on us.”

She saw Nova up ahead, his back turned to her. She knew by his tense shoulders that he had caught her scent. Hadyn shoved her forward gently, grinning. “Go talk to him,” she whispered.

Tate ran out from behind a tree, glaring at his mate. “Why did you come here?” he hissed. “Leave. This isn’t a good idea, just go please red. I’m scared at how…he’ll react.”

Santana became terrified when Tate said that. But this was her fault; she had to make up with him. She didn’t like staying away from him for too long. Step by step, it was like walking into the depths of hell. She could feel the anger emanating out from him. And this anger was something that she feared.

She now stood behind him, so scared, her legs felt like jelly. Without thinking, she reached out and hugged him. He tensed. All eyes fell on them as they waited in anticipation to see what he would do.

“Nova, god I missed you. I’m so sorry,” she said while tears trickled down her face.

He was still tense. She then held tighter, loving his scent. Realizing, she really did miss him. Her heart ached to see his handsome face.

Taking a chance, she let go and walked around him. Seeing his sad expression, she gasped. “I’m sorry Nova!” grabbing his face with her hands she kissed him every where; his mouth, cheeks, nose, eyes.

He whimpered.

“Baby, I’m so sorry,” she continued to kiss him.

He started responding, kissing her back just as passionately. He panted, hugging her close. Everyone cheered and clapped for them. They were in their own world, loving one another. After they stopped kissing, they just hugged.

“I destroyed our room, I just lost control. I’m sorry,” he whispered.

“It’s okay. I just thought you had a bit of fun with some chicks. I was ready to kick your ass thinking you did!” she joked.

He smiled at her. “I love you, don’t ever leave me,” he looked down at the ground sadly.

“We need to learn how to control our tempers, otherwise it might happen again. I hate fighting with you Nova. You’re my mate, I freaking love you more than anyone else!”

“What about us?” her parents said at the same time.

“Yea, I love you guys too,” she laughed and rolled her eyes.

Chloe giggled “I’m glad you guy’s made up. It was way too gloomy around here.”

Everyone shouted in agreement.

Xavier walked into camp with in his wolf form, limping, blood covered his nose and mouth.

“What the hell happened?” Troy yelled.

*I went to my usual spot, and some rogue attacked me! I injured it.*

“Shit!”

Chloe ran to her son, worried. “It should heal soon.”

“What happened?” everyone asked, numerous voices shouting out.

“He was attacked by a rogue. That’s it! We need to find them before something else happens.”

Santana gulped. Now she wouldn’t be leaving. She got her wish, and now had to fight. Did she really want to? Hell yeah! One hurt her brother, and she would fight to death if it came to it. She knelt down and hugged him.

*Eww, please go,* he rumbled.

“I love you bro, so much.”

He stayed quiet and just let her do what she wanted. There was going to be a huge fight on their hands.
