Chapter 24: The Wedding

Artemis's POV:

I sat down in the wedding dress I was wearing, and Piper gave me a glare as if asking why I'm doing this. "Look if you didn't want me sitting you should've had the boys get ready and set up and yourselves get ready first. You all should know I would much rather be doing this in casual wear or even sweats" I said

"Funny, Percy protested in a similar way but instead of about it being a dress it's a tux" Piper said

"Artemis how about this, after the actual ceremony is over and Sally and Leto get pictures of you and Percy, you can change into casual clothing" She offered

"So after they get photos I can change into casual clothes" I asked and she nodded , "deal" I said. I can last through the ceremony in a dress for a few minutes right.

"Good" Piper said before directing the other girls off to a whole closet of dresses.

I wanted to question how she got so many dresses in Thalia's tent, but I knew the answer was going to have something to do with her godly powers. The next thing is how did she acquire so many dresses so quickly, unless she stole them from her mother, or got someone to get them for her because I have doubts she could have gotten these with the allotted money we can summon per year.

Sally and Kym came to sit down first, both in a long blue dress that went down to their ankles. The color matched their eyes very well, and I got to say it looked comfortable. Next was my Mother who came out in, surprise, the dress I was going to wear before being forced into a wedding dress. I looked at her and she shrugged, "What should I not be wearing my daughters favorite color" She asked

"No, it's just that's my own dress and I'm wondering what it was doing in there" I shouted mainly to Piper who just laughed about. My mother also seemed to think it was funny, but said she was going to be wearing it.

Thalia followed shortly after wearing a blue and silver striped dress with Clarisse following shortly thereafter in a green and silver dress, though she was complaining about, how there was no blood red dresses to choose from.

Piper came out last and she was in a long pink dress, complaining about how her mother ruined her selection, which only confirmed to me that she was paying attention.

"Wait where's Auntie Hestia" I asked

"Oh we made some administrative decisions, without you or Percy knowing and she's going to officiate the wedding, so we don't need to kidnap someone to do so" Piper explained

I was left more confused and everyone just told me not to worry about it and I'll be seeing her soon. You know Zoë is right the english language, it does change too much and I try to keep up with it.

Anyways, since we are all ready and presumably Percy, the boys, and my hunt are finishing setting up, and Hestia is doing who knows what. I started sweating getting nervous that something bad is happening because should Raily have already been here to tell us the boys are ready and everything is set up. What if a monster attacked and we don't know about it.

A bunch of other thoughts were running through my mind, and the next thing I know my mother and Sally are rubbing my back comforting me, "Everything is fine. The boys are probably messing around taking forever to set up, while your hunters are likely yelling at them to stop goofing off" Sally said, I looked at her questionably, "You're forgetting I'm the one who raised Percy, and Nico is like a son to me, I know them both well and when they are together they don't act much different than Thalia and Percy do." she explained

I looked at Thalia, "it's true there's a reason why we are called the little big three and it's not because of who our fathers are...well it's actually because of that but not because we are their children" She explained
